He's not a bad champ.. i find him very useful on occassion.. but his damage output is locked behind the sp2/sp1 rotation. His kit also just didn't work well for the BG metas after his release. I have him at r2 and do feel he needs to be r3 to be of any use in BGs. He's not the fastest but has some amazing mid range fight output. Stuff like WOW/SOS/AOA if the nodes/objectives line up. He's like morbius .. if you can't do the burst damage or you miss out , then you have to reramp again. Not the most popular form of damage.
There’s nothing wrong with him. He’s a good champ, I think the just metas haven’t really asked us to use him. His pulverize to remove armor ups might be more useful with new tech champs. Sentinel is immune to armor break but not pulverize, maybe we will see more situations/defenders that are countered by pulverize.
I have a similar feeling that we will see more armor break immune tech champs in the future
Fun in vanilla matchups. When you get into a complex fight, the demands of his rotation / timers just become too aggravating. Not to mention his huge burst can be kneecapped by damage caps in content like Necro / Carinas.
I expect he will find a niche (or several) over time but he’s not going to be a heavily used champ for me.
What does "Vanilla" matchups mean?
Any simplistic fight where you can dictate the flow, like RoL. Where BRB falls apart for me is when you have a complicating node or just a tricky opponent. As soon as you have to spend time baiting specials or waiting out the opponent or whatever, BRBs ideal rotation just goes out the window.

Never have high expectations, someone can always disappoint you, because they don't know the character's legend.

There are probably a dozen cosmics that I use more often than BRB, it’s not just Herc, CGR etc.
