Disappointing Banquet Event?

I think it goes without saying that the grand banquet event, used to celebrate 10 years of the contest, is dividing players. I myself feel that the event is a complete letdown and overall a disappointment. It makes sense now why Kabam chose not to reveal the reward structure until the last minute. As somebody who spent 15k units (the equivalent of $650 CAD) only to have the best rewards from my 50 crystals be 17k 7* shards and a quarter of a titan… I wish I could take those units back. That being said, what does everyone else think of the event? As an endgame player who’s been around since day 1, the event was a disaster. For some new players, perhaps it was satisfying. Let’s hear it out.

The banquet itself (the crystals) are bad. But the rewards in the realm, solo, and alliance events make it alright i guess

All this hype behind the event and saying they removed the filter and made the crystal really good was alll a smokescreen.

The fact we moved to ”superior” banquet crystals is laughable.

As someone with close 20 r4’s the 12k units I spent did nothing for my account with my opening 🤣

I agree with ahmynuts for the most part.

I opened at least 20 more crystals on the first day this year than the last, and pulled considerably worse rewards. Nothing above low amounts of 7* shards or parts of tier 6 crystals. Last year I got a *7 Kang and other fun rewards that made the event feel special.

The tier rewards have been pretty good so far, but at this rate I will not bother saving up for next year’s banquet vent.

I knew I wouldn’t get any of the big ticket items but opened 30 crystals and got 3k 7* shards, 2 generic 7* sig stones and a bunch of t6 fragments. Very disappointed with the “Superior” crystals.

Ps my alt opened the 5 free greater crystals from accolades and got a 5* selector and paragon crystals. To which is say was better than the superior crystals.

Opened 50 superiors and got jack, spent all my units on cw beforehand. I'm done with whaling, at least until they add King Daredevil as a champ, Ill stick with f2p for now.

I opened 75 SBC's... Ive been grinding and saving since August for this and I feel completely ripped off.. I got nowhere near the value that I did during cyber week. I have spent 14000 units on the Banquet (so far cause im dumb) and I have duped a few 7*'s I already had awakened and some gold.......For the GRAND banquet and the hype all around it this is beyond disappointing. After 75 SBC's it should feel like Christmas but it feels like I just lost 4 months of really really tedious work.

Came to forums to check if there is a bug with Superior Banquet crystals. Bcz All I pulled from 20 crystals is Catalysts, Cat frags, 7* Sig stones and 1k 7* shards. These are so bad.

Out of 1st 10 sup crystals, I got 4 T5CC. Why would anyone have to spend 300units to get T5CC while we can get 'selector' cheaper in Alliance and BG store.

Not spending any more units. I will just take the milestone rewards I get for free.

Opened 80 superior crystals. Didn’t get a single 7* crystal of any kind. Probably about 20k worth of 7* shards and 5k titan. I have a whole lot of filler though. Like nearly all my crystals were fillers. Probably coulda done better with the regular ggcs

Man, that Christmas gift better be worth it or the sting from this event is only going to get worse. Who would have thought that in this in-game economy, “superior” would feel like a bare bones waste of units.

Honestly I could make a case and say the rewards are alright, although as ahmynuts said that’s pretty much all down to milestone event rewards and not the crystals themselves. Unfortunately this is just the first banquet I’ve partaken in where I’m just not feeling anything, and in that sense I can’t really not call it a disappointment even if a feeling of “nothing” implies indifference more than being let down.
