As someone who went at this completely F2P and in an ally all by myself (by design), the event was like a 3/10.
The banquet crystals really should give all rewards as selectors so we can choose what we want. 90% of my crystals were fragments for rankup materials that I already have in overflow. The other 10% were such small quantities each of 7* shards and T4 alpha that it basically was worse than the daily super event...lol. I would've rather just been able to choose straight 7* titan or crystal shards (I'd even take it at a reduced quantity to guarantee that I get what I want).
Guess I'm happy I got the Deathless She-Hulk piece, but there's no chance in Hell I'll get enough points to pull the Isophyne dupe from the realm event (which was maybe the only other thing I would have wanted).
So yea, for me the overall the cumulative rewards of the daily super event >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> banquet.
They really should have different crystals for all the title progressions. I got stuff that thronebreaker me would've loved... As a valiant it just sent everything into overflow. Really sucks.
I think it goes without saying that the grand banquet event, used to celebrate 10 years of the contest, is dividing players. I myself feel that the event is a complete letdown and overall a disappointment. It makes sense now why Kabam chose not to reveal the reward structure until the last minute. As somebody who spent 15k units (the equivalent of $650 CAD) only to have the best rewards from my 50 crystals be 17k 7* shards and a quarter of a titan… I wish I could take those units back. That being said, what does everyone else think of the event? As an endgame player who’s been around since day 1, the event was a disaster. For some new players, perhaps it was satisfying. Let’s hear it out.

I had 21k units i got from cyber monday odins. I have saved them for Banquet, expecting anything worthy. Oh boy was i wrong. Its first and the LAST banquet i participated in, also the last $$ i have thrown at this game. That's too much. I feel scammed in every way possible.

Yeah, this is just not a good take. The milestones are nearly the exact same minus the realm rewards. The crystals are actually worse than last year’s. I got more 7* last year off half as many crystals as I opened this year. I literally get better rewards from my daily crystals. If you’re happy with that for the 15k units, good for you, but you got ripped off. This isn’t a problem with just rng, it’s a problem with drop rate, drop quantity. If I got the 7* sig stones in a higher quantity, I think the event could’ve been a lot better. Instead, I got nearly all t6b/t3a/t5cc/t6cc out of around 70 crystals
Completely agree. Drop rates are very disgusting. If you get the reward, it is usually the lowest reward tier. ~ 40 crystals opened, never seen titan crystal shards, maximum got 1.5 7* shards, catalysts fragments are only the lowest amount. I realise that I buy SBCs only to get this dupe for Isophyne.

I would disagree with that statement. Back in the day when it was the “gifting” event, the rewards and event were worth the units. It’s only really been the last two-three banquet events where Kabam has really dropped the ball. Ever since the largely changed the mindset of shifting amazing rewards to content that takes forever to roll out versus fun events like these.
Also to look at the milestones and see how pathetic they are for the units invested. Last year the event didn’t cost nearly as much to get stuff like this. Roughly 9-10k to max out the rewards if memory serves. Now with the 5-6k unit inflation, I would expected a higher grade of rewards for the investment.

I’m sorry you didn’t have a good experience. I only spent around 7K units, same as last year, and got slightly better stuff this year than last year as I was expecting. I wish Kabam would have made it better but oh well. The Superior crystals they talked about made it seem promising, but then we saw the drop rates.

This 100%, the banquet events were always literally the best time in Mcoc the whole year. Now its completely flipped and the worst time of the year, dont even want to load up my game for a couple days after this.
I was going to spend big on this event - won’t be spending a single cent on it now. Paying money to Kabam only perpetuates the problem. The ONLY thing they care about is the dollar bottom line. Boycotting the event on mass is the only way to send a message.

One thing i learner today if we want guarantee rewards go with cyber weekend else go with rng luck for banquet event. People want guarantee rewards which kabam has not learn in this 10 years, if they go like this without doubt this game also shutdown like there other games. Literally in my alliance people are not opening a single crystal now and we decided that we would purchase $199 bundle previously if rewards are great but after seeing rng
Yeah, they dropped the ball in this event. The milestones are decent but the amount you have to spend to get them because you are not getting anything of value from the crystals if you are Valiant, is not worth it at all. Only thing I got that I couldn't get before was like 1250 tier 7 basic shards which I will be years away from getting enough to get anyone to R4.

The absolute cherry on top is the keys being a **** gacha and not letting your select which buffed champion you want and letting RNG AGAINNNNN be a deciding factor. Kabam... have you learned nothing. Now I kinda feel stupid for not getting in the Hunters Market
