Literally, I lie betrayed by this event. I waited so long to be able to celebrate a banquet one day and there I spent 20,000 units to end not even have a titan crystal. We should be compensated for this fraud. And it is not by adding crystals in the steps that it will make us all happy and spend new ones. There we all deserve real compensations with good 7-star crystals as well as shards and titan shards. I am sincerely disappointed with this event and yet we are for the 10 years... I think it’s great that that you’re reaching out as in years past whenever there was huge backlash the usual tactic was ignore/deny until something else worse happened that fragmented the anger and disappointment. I’m pretty sure that the fact you’re committed to looking into it means shareholders aren’t overwhelmed with lack of sales. I’m sure they’d have been promised some optimistic forecasting based on banquets years gone by.
I bought 1 x 150 units pack from the web store. I had fully intended to buy the 10 x crystal pack (probably twice) as I have in previous banquets however was relieved I saw so much of the backlash in discord and online before I purchased. The 16 crystals I had from collecting tickets were woeful and I tripled checked that they were the superior crystals two or three times.
The milestone contributions this is probably a controversial thought of mine but I have no idea why these contribution gateways are so perversely high other than to stop people who don’t have as much spare cash at this time of year suffer for not being able to spend more on them. Personally I’d remove these milestone m requirements across alliance event and at the very least the community realm event. It’s Christmas and I’m sure people are already buying/spending what they can afford everyone should be able to benefit from the community event after making some kind of contribution. If I was able to whale out and buy thousands of units and crystals I’d feel totally fine about the fact that my spending was helping those unable to buy as much get some good gear and account progression.
I imagine this post will be followed up in January by a type of “lessons learned” type post with a promise to improve the 11th year ‘grand and totally superior, superior banquet’ in 2025 but it would be nice just once for someone to hold their hands up and say we got it wrong and this is how we’re going to put things right.
I know I’m 1 player of out of maybe millions but I’ve regularly spent my fair share over the years and I’m rapidly losing interest to spend physical money on this game. I suspect if things continue the way they are then more people will do the same and the game will start its death spiral.
My suggestion is start really listening to your community. The “you’ve been chosen” surveys aren’t doing it. Invite summoners to physical interviews or events and ask them what they want to see from event and future updates I think you’d find it worthwhile.
Oh and don’t act so out of touch on things, kabam rex doing a video about how great the event was despite only opening filler from all his crystals was cringe inducing and while I have enjoyed many of his videos over the years I would hope that executives aren’t forcing him to use his old platform to try and change the narrative on things.
We just wanted to take a moment and address some of the concerns around our Banquet event this year as we see some of you are disappointed with the Superior Banquet Crystals in particular.
We wanted to move more of the rewards to the milestones, while keeping 7-star relevant rewards in the crystals as you build up your tracks in the various milestones between solo and alliance-based events. Our intention was to improve the experience over last year's event, and feel we have succeeded in that goal.
That being said, we want to make sure the game team sees and hears you, so please leave your constructive feedback on what you’d like to see changed.
IMO, this Banquet just further showed how much Valiants are unappreciated, and is just more of just a flashy "progression" title than the rewards reflect. (For general example, the Valiant crystal is a joke. Too many 5*'s. Should be replaced with the Exalted crystal or a new one similar.)
Here is my constructive breakdown of what I think the rewards should have been. For Solo milestones, 2 additional top spots should have been added: a 7* Generic Awakening Gem should have been #25 reward for Valiant in this event. There's just no excuse for it not being in the game by now. I understand that AG's are traditionally a quest reward, but this Anniversary would have been a great time to introduce it.
A fully formed T7 basic, or half of that, or hell even a third of that in fragments, should have been up there too, in the #24 spot. That would have partially prepared us for the next progression title, and really incentivized me to spend money, or more units to reach those milestones.
The Glorious Guardian should have been a SELECTOR instead of RNG, and in the #3 spot. There are specific champs players are trying to get. Treating the GG crystal like it's no different from RNG Titan and basic 7* is baffling. If the AG and T7 frags were included, getting the desired champ, would have motivated players to push further for them, and in the end feel really good about this year's banquet. *Reward spots can be re-arranged accordingly but top rewards definitely stay in top 3.*
Quality and quantity for the rest should have improved, and here's how:
#3: 2 x T6CC's, instead of outdated T5CC's
#4: 2 Banquet Crystals instead of ONE. Smh.
#5: 6 x T6 Basic instead of 4. This gives enough to r3 a champ.

As for the "Superior" Banquet Crystal rewards, which are mostly ISO, 6* resources, and outdated T5CC's (same **** from last year) are hot garbage for the amount of money players were expected to spend. What's so "superior" about them? If they were necessary, then there should have been a healthier balance of drop rates instead of the pitiful ones we got.
These should have included:
1. a "superior" percentage and amount of T7 basic fragments, like at least a 5%-10% chance to get 1,000 T7 fragments, or something like that.
2. 30%-50% chance to get 28,500 T6CC fragments, or 50% chance to get fully formed T6CC's, or simply fully formed T6CC's.
3. 30%-50% chance to get 20,000 T4A fragments (just fyi we can select 19,000 in our trade in store) or 10-15%% chance to get fully formed T4A's.
4. 30%-50% chance to get 15,000 7* shards and 10,000 titan shards, or 10% chance to get a 7* Nexus or Titan nexus.
5. 20% chance to get a 7* 1-2 rank up gem. This is becoming outdated, and should have been in crystals instead of in milestone rewards.
6. 15% chance to get 10 x 7* generic sig stones.
I am genuinely perplexed because I don't understand how Kabam team could seriously believe that this was an "improvement" over last year. This was the 10 Year Anniversary. What is there to gain from the crystals other than outdated ****? Those and milestone rewards should have been VERY special and TBH OVERWHELMING instead of underwhelming, but they're not.
So far, I have not spent one cent, only banquet tickets and a few hundred units. And I'm a spender who was looking forward to banquet. I hope Act 9.2, and/or Spring Cleaning, whichever comes first, will make up for this huge disapppintment.

They don't care about us. All they care about is money, and whales are willing to pay for poor-quality rewards. These rewards would be nice if we were paragons, but many of us are valiant and expect more than that.

Don’t think I can add more to what’s already here but opening these crystals was really a bitter disappointment. I remember 3 years ago when I used to grind units to open just another crystal as what you could pull was significantly impactful despite the filler rewards. The solo and alliance rewards were just icing. Last 2 years have been totally disastrous. There is no excitement in opening these crystals. The added rewards do nothing to make it any better. To salvage this event it needs significantly more effort. Do better kabam.
Keeping it short, opened 50+ Superior Banquet Crystals, and feel robbed, even with the milestones its just very painful to have spent money on this game compared to what i got
I only opened about 26 SBC to get the top alliance milestone of the key. Out of those 26 crystals, the only thing of value was 1000 titan crystals.
I don’t understand how detached from the community the developers are. Is the goal of the banquet event to entice summoners to open more crystals? Putting the best rewards in the milestones pretty much kills the event. There is no incentive to go further than the bare minimum to participate.
At the end of the day, the success of an event generally should be based on the uptake and participation of the community. In your books you say you have achieved your goals, but feedback from the community says otherwise.
I quit earlier in the year for about 3 months because of the AI nonsense that still persists. I came back for the Cyber weekend and banquet events because in the 8 years of playing this, that generally was the most exciting part of the calendar year. I used to spend occasionally and have stopped since I wasn’t happy with the direction of the game.
It’s tough when a 10 year anniversary event should be a celebration, instead this marks another failed event that you seem to repeat.
Will never spend money again on this event with this kind of drop rate and fillers.
Not sure what the thought was in making these crystals only slightly better than the daily Valiant. I opened 80 of these crystals. really wish i had seen these forums before forking out 200.00 on the "deals".
Kabam really should consider at the very least giving out something for those who spent real money on the "deal" for these crystals.
