As a paragon pushing for the rank 3’s required for valiant, I was excited about the event. F2P player that saved all my units for the event. I appreciate the comments from Kabam and acknowledge what they were trying to do, however the mega whales already separate themselves during this event. The top rewards vs the lower tiers where the majority of players land respectfully do create that gap. In the 28-35 crystals I opened I got a total of less than 2500k 7* shards and felt very disappointed. Also trying to obtain the milestones when the points are so high for f2p players is very discouraging. I do appreciate the feedback from the game team but overall am very disappointed and disheartened

1. I see some people stating that the Christmas event is the way it is because we want to lessen the gap between whales and normal players. This argument is really invalid because its clear in cyber weekend for the past 2 years and most events anyway, the gap just gets bigger and bigger. But I don't really see this as an issue, we all clearly know that if you pay to win.... you "pay to win"? Not really a head kicker there. But getting those champs that all the whales can get easily gives a feeling of " I can take on anyone" And I don't feel that anymore.
2. Personally I don't know why I pushed so hard to Valiant if Thrownbreaker and Paragon are getting the same stuff as me. Sure maybe less of it, but they are still getting 7*s and the same crystals and offers as me... Like why push? I really need to see Paragon and Valiant gaps because that is what the push is for! For example in this event, why not make super crystals available for Paragon and Valiant only? Why not make drop rates better for Valiant? I know thats a coding issue, or moral whatever. But I'm just spatting ideas! Why not make Super Valiant Crystals? Where if you are Valiant you get these crystals! Feel left out? Not to worry! You can get one for free in this event just to see how good Valiant really is!

3. I see that a lot of the champs we are getting are very sub-par and just not what we need for the content Kabam puts out. For exmaple, what are we pushed to do this month and last month? Necropolis! And Autumn of Agony, this is hard content that only specific champs can do. Although I was happy for the 10 free 7* champs and now if we pay we can get keys to get even more champs... but the question for me is which one of these champs can actually do the hard content? Not really any of them... Now lets say Kabam decided to put a 7* Abs man, or 7* Zeemo, or even a 7* Aegon (just an example guys), I would 100% try and get ONE of those champs. But guess what? They need to be awakened AND high sig. What does that mean? Spending, grinding, or waiting for a dupe, etc.... however I remember when I got herc the first time and was like "BRO! I GOT THIS CHAMP!!!! I knew he needed to be awakened, and high sig to be broken, but guess what? 1 step down (hardest step) the rest I'll get soon. This mentality kept me going! And kept me playing
- In this event I get a free guillotine 2099 which is not bad at all!, but I'm not going to use her in necropolis, because 1 there are no carina challenges that I would want to use her, and 2, is a champ that takes a while to ramp up, and just takes a LOT of time like in necro that already takes forever.
So in my opinion, the champions we are getting, are not really what we want for the content that is being made. We don't need every champ to be a banger for content. Just throw 1 or 2 in these events with the rest being sub-par, its a chance I'd be willing to take. But not right now.

Just wanna say Crashed has been incredibly open and honest with the community, above and beyond what is required by his position. He's been very generous with his time especially here on the forums, let’s please not impugn his character. You can disagree with his assessment if you do, but please trust that if hes saying it he means it.
I completely agree, Crashed has been excellent. Nothing against him, you, or anyone else personally on the Kabam team. I will echo all of the constructive feedback in this feed. You have given us seven star rank up materials to use on seven stars. I can appreciate that. However, we were told there would be less filler in this crystal, By Crashed himself. When the main reward we get from this crystal is less class catalyst than we can get from other stores (example: BGs and rank up store), it rubs us the wrong way. It is filler. No two ways around that.
Miniscule amounts of t7b and 7 star generic stones are also filler, for a crystal that costs 300 units.

I think his point is Kabam doesn’t see it as filler because it’s all relevant to 7* champs.
Players that have been spending resources like trophy tokens on nothing but t6cc for the past many months like myself and have 200+ 25% crystals stacked up are met with a banquet that has 31% t6cc and it’s super disappointing.
It also seems apparent that the perceived value of 7* shards and particularly titan shards between Kabam and players are very much skewed.
This is how I view it as well. Filler for me is the iso and gold. I'm constantly waiting on t6cc to rank up.

Replace like 80% of the catalysts with champ acquisition shards. Titans, nexuses, dual class, 7* shards, maybe a 7* abyss nexus. The game is about collecting champions, not collecting t5c. Get rid of all those sign stones which are next to useless because getting more than 6 keys for that box and getting a champ you want duped is near impossible for the vast majority of players. The problem is again it’s pay to win. Even with the “compensation” they still want you to spend. Putting it in realm rewards to open more junk crystals is not a solution. This event was overly hyped, completely horrible, not thought out, and a pure money grab. 10 years and this is the “grand” banquet. The banquet is kabam trying to line their pockets. The realm events should have been lower and more should have been in solo and alliance events to make a dent. The bar was way too high in realm events and putting the “compensation” above 15 k units is just pouring more salt on the wound. I’ve done what my plan is and I hope others follow suit. 1 star reviews in the App Store and a closed wallet. “Real compensation” needs to happen. Not the junk that has been offered again as has been said to the spenders. I thought this event was supposed to not create more distance between the whales and the average player. Wrong.

But there is value if they had better rates 7 shards t6cc t4a which people to r3 7s but they instead made it 10% lowest amount which is terrible
I took a screenshot of all the items I got from my crystals. Then put the total I spent, both real money and earned units above it, and pretended it was a bundle Kabam was offering. I would never have bought the bundle. I paid 10 dollars for like 250k gold, TWO seven star sig stones and 3 ISO. Another TEN DOLLAR spend was 100k gold, 2 t5cc, and 3 ISO....At some point, did anyone at Kabam sit down together and see these possibilities and think. THIS is what they want? THIS will for sure be the event they deserve? If so, then perhaps we are all on different pages and should just break up. I haven't seen rug pulls this bad since the Hawk Tuah girl launched her meme coin...

I think this right here is the major disconnect between Kabam and all the players who are disappointed in this event (including myself).
From Kabam's perspective the crystals aren't filler because we are getting materials to R2/R3 7*s which are the top of the game.
From player's perspective who have R2/R3 7*s the crystals are trash because alot of people feel like they aren't getting anything useful.
For example, for many people who are Paragon or Valiant this event did nothing for you.
I just want better drop rates in SBC . For 9k units I got half of t4alpha,2t3a,3t6b . Got 2k titan shards lol. Only 11k 7star shards.I can get these in bg store for free.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of how spenders get ahead of the pack. The garbage drop rates on crystal shards in the SBCs has ZERO to do with the whale/high end gap, because the whales are literally granted the opportunity (and capitalize on it) to buy every character straight out of the gate on release. The gaps come into play when you create rank up gaps that literally cannot be surmounted in game unless you spend… something you literally did this event:
Look at how quickly those mats drop off. The only thing this structure guarantees is that you will never be any where near parity unless you drop absurd dollar amounts. And in case you want to argue the point history also betrays you as the most infamous spending event in MCOC history was the 4th of july sale that made r3s far too available to whales

This is the test for me on whether the 2024 Banquet event is a success or failure.
We’re in day 2 of a 14 day event and we have reached milestone 23 of the realm component. If we reach milestone 33 (Isophyne dupe) then IMO it’s a success. (But I’ll be happy if we reach milestone 30)
As for the SBC’s themselves. I’m yet to open my stash of them. But they are better than GBC’s which is what we had last yr.
I myself don’t care that I have dropped 51,000 units on this event. The majority of them I earned F2P during the yr just playing this silly game. Sure I bought a few Odin’s during cyber to get more units but that was money I had put aside from my entertainment budget so not concerned about that spend.

There are people who are not yet valiant and yet saved up for the event , spent say about 100 dollars to make sure they reached the final Isophyne milestone in the realm event. 3. From the look of it, we are not going to reach the final milestone as a collective effort. 4. The fact that the option to buy the SBC bundle in store is only for three days and does not go to the end of the event, does not give the option to people to wait and see if we are going to reach the final milestone.
My question is - Will Kabam ensure that people who have saved for a year, or spent money to reach the final milestone get the realm rewards even if we do not reach the final milestone as a collective?
