Buff isn't fair imo

Buff is so not fair. This is my opinion, feel free to disagree. In fact, I strongly encourage it. I had 3300 units and spent them all. Now I have no units. I got absolute trash from the crystals. Seriously. Only noteworthy thing is 7 star sentry from alliance event. You buffed the further milestones when some people used all their units already, or can't reach the further milestones. Just because I didn’t whale out or grind x amounts of units, doesn't mean that my units were not a waste. I could have done necropolis with those units, probably a couple paths based on what people have told me. Instead I used it on an event that gave me absolute trash, then they buff something that doesn't even affect me because its for milestones I can't reach. Also the buff is trash anyway. Wanna hear your opinions

How many points do you have for realm? With 3300 units, that's 11 crystals. So unless you opened way more crystals that you bought from packages, you're only at milestone 9. You were done in the first few hours of the event. So you wouldn't have gotten these regardless. You need 24000 points to get all the milestones....... I am confused by what you're saying.

If this is it, yeah … it’s not right.

Just thinking pragmatically though - they changed the reward within 24 hours on a weekend in the one place that requires the least amount of work: milestones not yet hit in the realm event.

So either
1) this is a token change to try to encourage more crystal opening to overcome tremendous backlash
2) this is the best they can do today and more changes that require far more work for people who spent units already is coming later.

I think in one sense it’s a positive sign if you want to adhere some hope to #2. The pessimistic side of me says something should have been communicated to that affect with this on the fly change.

I had roughly the same amount of units, and ended rn with 6300, I haven’t bought my sinister tickets just incase something happens with drop rates.

I believe the point he is trying to make is that the buff wasn’t needed, because it buffs the rewards for players who didn’t need it. They already get the good stuff, which comes in later milestones, so why buff the later milestones ? They needed to buff the earlier ones, but ofc that’s a problem because not only did everyone already claim them, we already hit it a while ago.

He's nowhere near those milestones. Milestone 9 was like 2 hours into the event. Even if it was milestone 11, he still wouldn't get them. That's my confusion is why complain about something you're nowhere near getting.

That's why I asked if he opened other crystals.

Like I said in another thread, this is something they can immediately do as those milestones haven't been achieved yet. I imagine other things will come but it's Saturday and a holiday week. It's just something quick that wouldn't involve much.

Well, Kabam didn’t take my full advice. They communicated …and made sure we knew this is clearly #1. Tone deaf to the nth degree

I would hope you’re right. As someone who only had 4k units to spend, I’m feeling pretty burned by the banquet event too. Adding some extra goodies to the top milestones of the realm event helps some of the people who wasted the most money yes, but I would feel just a bit ticked off if they decided that my 4k units gone down the drain didn’t warrant anything back. Doesn’t feel quite like an attempt at compensation or goodwill if it’s not for everyone.

Yep, unfortunately the vast majority of players will have to suffer. The technical issue means they can't buff any realm milestones that have already been achieved.
If you're a whale you get the buff compensation though, so at least some of the community will have had it made fairer for them.

Honestly now that I think about it, putting extra “compensation” rewards in the higher milestones is just a repeat of the glorious guardian sig stone situation. Kabam is once again insisting that everyone should be maxing out the event, regardless of practicality or value. The sig stones are useless unless you invest enough in the event to reach the awakening gem (or spin enough banquet crystals to get multiple banquet keys, but let’s be real that requires enough crystal purchases to reach the gem anyways). Don’t invest enough? Tough luck, enjoy the waste of space. Now with the “compensation” in the milestones, they’re once again insisting that you invest fully into the event. Didn’t invest enough? Tough luck, you should’ve, guess you haven’t eaten enough dirt to get a care package back. I don’t need anything crazy because yeah I haven’t wasted as much in this event as others, but getting nothing is pretty insulting, 4k units is NOT a small amount.
