Problem is I'm waiting for the realm, the banquet crystal drop rate ain't helping to fuel a self sustaining crystal opening mania

Ok Milestone Genius, care to explain something to me?... If this milestones are so great, explain to me why i spent over 20k units in past banquets and in 2023/2024 I decided to do the minimum to clear to milestones only?... I didn’t make a graph, but I can say that at 17,900 pts, I’ve gotten nothing monumental.
No 7 stars, titans, or keys. Best things I got was enough fragments to make about 1.5 T4A and I got 500 awakening shards 2 times. Nothing else from my 300 unit Valiant crystals.

a reasonable person would see or feel the droprates then understand the value in the milestones and get over it, but some of these people don't care.

the community wants blood and acts as if they've been deeply wronged on such a cosmic scale that that no amount of contrition by kabam could ever make up for it.

for 15k..

60k 7* shards
5k titan shards
enough t4 alpha for 2 r3s...
3 7* glorious guardian champs (some who are very good)
7* glorious guardians awakening gem
70 7* glorious guardians sig stones

1-2 generic
bunch of necessary catalysts (t6c, t5c, t6b, t3a)

plus....2 more 7* basics and a 7* nexus

plus whatever you pulled from those SBCs, which is a cherry on top.

for 15k this is very solid. how much would just a 2-3 generic gem cost with units 5 weeks ago?

Even the drop rates are misleading though. The crystal says 10% chance to get signature stones… so they made it 2…

13% chance to get 7star shards but the amounts vary and can be as low as 1k.

I’m not saying I agree with those that are proclaiming we were cosmically wronged. But Kabam has been like Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown on this one with the way they obfuscated and continue to do with this event.

They may not have outright lied, but good liars can use the truth to do it, and that’s what this feels like. Nobody like to be lied too and the team did exactly that through half truths and wordplay.

I get that you think pointing at the milestones makes you seem like the rational port on a storm of irrational outrage… but I think you are under valuing the righteous anger of those that legitimately feel tricked. It seems like we don’t disagree to much on that point about the crystals being horrible. I just think you are overvaluing the milestones, while you think me and others disappointed are undervaluing them.

Sure they are ok… but this is a game… and this event is not fun because of this poorly designed crystal. And then you go back review the messaging leading up to the event and it just feels gross and the journey to get those milestones feels gross and slimey every time you open a crystal. Personally I rate this event as worse than last years

I’m glad I couldn’t log on when banquet started. By the time I did, many were complaining the crystals were trash. I opened enough to get the deathless piece. Now I’m sitting back and waiting to see if the realm milestones are hit. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

And as far as the rewards I have already gotten, I have t3a and t6b overflowing now. It’s so annoying to keep getting these when we can’t even sell them. I’m going to have to use it to rank up some champs that I have no desire to rank up just so it doesn’t go completely to waste.

Again, it's pointless comparing it to cyber. The cyber weekend is done and dusted, if it were running simultaneously with the banquet it makes sense to compare.
Listing all the stuff is great but like i mentioned earlier , is it worth 15k? ( Quantity vs quality -It will vary greatly with individual rosters)
Unlike the cyber weekend, people were expecting a lot more from banquet considering it was the 10th year anniversary and all that. Maybe lower milestone costs? Maybe better SBC drop rates ?
While banquet has always been a spending/whale event ,maybe everyone thought it might be different this time.
So no matter what event you compare it to or analyse each and every milestone/reward , it has not lived up to expectations.

My comment is about cyber deals - and again you are wrong in your calculation and wanted to correct you

Yes it was 20k to get to the champ selector - but if you want to include that it then means it gives resources to take 3 and almost 4 lots of 7 star champs to r3 plus a bunch of other items on top of that if you chose your deals carefully (not just a single rank up gem plus other things in your list - read the deals closely).

I know as I actually spent the 20k - and I got Onslaught (a much better champ in my opinion than most of the champs you can get in banquet) and enough to r3 an additional 4 of my 7 star champs. (In hindsight given what I am seeing and reading I’m glad I spent it there rather than saving for banquet.- I don’t need more champs - I need the resources to take them to r3 (and I was hoping r4 but that looks unlikely for a long time/!). And even with rank up resources - I don’t need more t5 or t6 class catalysts, or or t3 alpha or t6 basic. I don’t need gold and don’t need iso (can’t sell my overflow quickly enough). I know AG are highly valued but my own personal opinion is they are over-rated - I’m happy to be patient and awaken when I can without spending just to get an AG.

It looks like only the massive big speeding whales will get the chance to r4 champs in the short term the way they set banquet up - despite what they say about not letting the whales gap us - this banquet will lead to an even bigger gap as the top few rank rewards give multiple r4s which will go the the biggest absolute whales. Just compare the bottom few rank rewards to the top few rank rewards and it’s an astounding gap.

Now I don’t mind that personally because I know the big spending whales make money for Kabam so they can keep the lights on and the game keeps going for the rest of us. I understand how the game works - and so I’m actually not even remotely upset by banquet because it was as I expected (the reason why I chose to spend my units on cyber rather than banquet) - banquet has always and will always be about dangling a carrot in front on the whales to spend and giving the rest of us fillers so that hopefully we don’t feel as bad.

For Kabam to say they set this up so whales won’t get much more than everyone else from this banquet is false. A simple look at the rank rewards makes this obvious. As I said - I don’t mind that as I know that’s exactly what banquet is about and is needed to keep the game going. Just be honest and say it and I would be fine with it?! Don’t be false and pretend and try to makes fools of the community by saying otherwise.

We didn’t want to give them an extra advantage …. (Good luck in battlegrounds) … so remember … you can get a 7 star Isophyne … hooray?!!’

And the rewards you say are available to everyone assumes the community reaches those rewards which may not happen. And even if they do - in order to qualify - you have to spend roughly 15-18k units (that’s a lot for FTP).

Cyber weekend and banquet both have deals to entice whales. For the rest of us - banquet is better if you get extremely lucky but for the 99% cyber weekend offers better value. Kabam actually said as much on their livestream?!

I wonder how much less the backlash against banquet would’ve been if Kabam were just open and honest and said we are giving deals to entice the whales because we need to in order to keep the game going and the rest of you won’t get as much so that we don’t ruin the game economy more than necessary but you will still have the chance to get a few things rather than trying to pump up the event the way they did?

I don’t want to keep arguing about this - and as mentioned i wasn’t making a comment about banquet that you are fiercely defending?! And as mentioned I’m actually not upset by banquet as I’m realistic about what it is and what it represents and I’m free to participate or not so no skin off my nose?!

I just wanted to make these comments because I don’t like falseness and the scenario that is pushed about banquet having fabulous things for everyone?!

Yes it can have fabulous things for some. But some haven’t had that - and some are choosing to stay away knowing they are unlikely to get fabulous things.

It’s about as great for everyone as the phrase from George Orwell’s Animal Farm - everyone is equal …. but some are more equal than others?!
