I don't have an issue with them releasing different deals throughout the event. Good on them, but the communication has been really poor. What's wrong with laying out an event from beginning to end and letting players make educated decisions?
If they did, then this thread would never have come about and the people that were planning on spending would have still picked up the original offer plus this one. Since there is no single official source for information, it's hard enough to keep up with information on top of the limited information released.
This deals have been the same way for years, nothing new tbh
Tbf a entire key is unexpected. They did not give a whole crystal last year. And it’s a common understanding that whatever kabam does should not be 100% expected for the following year.
Fair, but deals were going to come regardless, people jumped on buying on day one that's on them.
That's terribly disingenuous to act like they should have known that Kabam would change the offer. If Walmart changes prices on a random Wednesday from what they were Tuesday, no one complains, because that's how things go. This wasn't a "check in everyday because the deals are constantly mutating" scenario or "48 hour deals from the 20th to the 3rd" and even in the 48hr scenario, people would call shenanigans if the 3rd offer was the same 2nd one, but with superior bonus stuff added for the same price.
Walmart changes their prizes EVERYDAY rofl.. Its like buying something before Black Friday and saying "Wtf you sold it to me for more a week ago"... X-Mas deals have been a thing for YEARS
Walmart also does price adjustments within 30 days of purchase.
Depends on the product, also THEY DID MENTION XMAS DEALS ON THE **** LIVESTREAM.
They will return almost anything and let you repurchase it at the lower price.
They are actually a fairly reputable business.
Ok fine Walmart is great... I guess the other guy complaining and using Walmart as an example used a terrible example... I guess you could ask Kabam for a refund if you got the crystals unopened...
I didn’t say they were great, just reputable.
Can’t expect that kind of service around here.
Since you know so much about walmart, will they refund me the price difference after consuming the items?... Do they have a responsibility to announce sales ahead of time? Did you ever see an item that said 9.99 today 7.99 in 3 days?...
Again, you can either grouse about the deals, or you can defend Kabam. But the fact is, I don’t think I’ve seen this level of disgust with Kabam. And it ALL could have been avoided with just one simple thing:: communication. It’s really not that hard. In fact, it’s ridiculously easy.
Wow this is some BS. KABAM we already spend all out money and got squat, We dont have any more to spend..Now they are try to suck us dry with better offers cmon...

Costco will refund the difference of a purchase made in their store if it gets lowered within 30 days should you request it.... I guess you expect Walmart service from Kabam when others expect Costco service.

If the price of th chicken drops , you don't have to return th chicken, you can bring your receipt and their customer service will literally credit your card.

Why did you avoid the 3 questions I asked? Do they have a responsibility of announcing future sales? Did you ever see an item with a sign that says it will be cheaper in a few days? I know you are backed into a corner here but I am trying to let you off easy.
Who said anything about their marketing responsibility? Again, they do good business by letting customers bring back the item or receipt and let customers repurchase at the lower price. If you see the price is lower in a reasonable amount of time, you get made whole. End of story.

Enjoy that whole chicken...
Backed into a corner? Let off easy? Lol Ok Joe Pesci All I can tell you is that complaining about a bad event and spending on it is as stupid as it gets...
I get the frustration… I also get the reason why both deals exist. Mega whales are going to buy them all regardless. Kabam probably reasoned they would catch smaller spenders closer to Christmas with this new deal.
That said - I don’t think it would be terrible for them to communicate that “hey - if you are on a limited budget - wait until Christmas.”
It’s just… not good. A lot of goodwill is getting burned up faster than units on superior crystals.

I think that is the point that people were trying to make. No point in spending on those offers after the initial set.

Because you are seasoned veteran who watches this stuff over the years. How many people playing this game for fun come to the forums before buying a $50 offer when they see the holiday event drop? 2%? 1%?
There is a difference between the unit deals which typically come at Christmas and this offer which isn’t a unit deal and wasn’t expecting it to change. Always thought there would be unit deals but I don’t want to spend money on an Odin, this offer was half the price and fairly reasonable for me. I’ve bought this kind of 10x banquet/gifting offers most years and don’t recall it being replaced after 3 days for a better version.

Yes actually. Walmart would most likely refund you the price difference within 14 days with your receipt. I have worked customer service at 3 different Walmarts in recent times and they all would do this, not that it is representative of all stores. While it isn't listed in the return policy, every store I have been to does so.
Fair, but deals were going to come regardless, people jumped on buying on day one that's on them.
The unit bundles were expected and the fact that those things are available days after the event release sadly were predictable, but my point it's that they decided to change the $50 Bundle at the middle of the event without any warning or message or anything. It's just sleazy
I get it, i guess you gotta choose to believe they changed it at last min or this sale was actually planned. I personally would have waited; but i get your frustration.
Well, just go to the Glorious box, and see where you can get a key from. There s an info right next to the title.
I bought this deal on day 1, didn’t knowing these crystals are garbage. That had limit 1. Later I saw in game the same deal, but with limit 4, I decided to grab another one, in game, just to push a bit myself through the milestones. I didn’t know that there was an increase in the limits and there would be better deal with 20 tickets instead of 2. And NOW I see this deal, that has a KEY. And these MILESTONES with additional POINTS for banquet??? If I really knew that’s gonna happen, I would rather bought this new deal. What a bad communication! I believe Kabam should compensate BOTH POINTS and KEY. And I should clarify, that they should send these points straight to the account via mailbox, NOT directly in global event, so players have more impact for their alliance and personal score.
Do note the new deal today is only purchasable by valiants while the one on Friday was open to I think all progression levels?
However the webstore banquet milestones should have launched last Friday as whoever bought the Friday deal has missed out on some extra points, all past sale events - July 4th, Cyber had their milestone tracks launch simultaneously with the event, why is banquet different?

Why did you avoid the 3 questions I asked?
Do they have a responsibility of announcing future sales?
Did you ever see an item with a sign that says it will be cheaper in a few days?
Can you return a consumed product, not open, not used, CONSUMED?
Who said anything about their marketing responsibility? Again, they do good business by letting customers bring back the item or receipt and let customers repurchase at the lower price. If you see the price is lower in a reasonable amount of time, you get made whole. End of story.
You can return with JUST your receipt.
Enjoy that whole chicken...
Ok Joe Pesci
All I can tell you is that complaining about a bad event and spending on it is as stupid as it gets...
That said - I don’t think it would be terrible for them to communicate that “hey - if you are on a limited budget - wait until Christmas.”
It’s just… not good. A lot of goodwill is getting burned up faster than units on superior crystals.
If they didn't communicate how did I know this from a week in advance?
I also purchased a bundle over the last weekend, which didn't include the guaranteed 7 like the refreshed ones do now.
As others have said, it feels icky. Kabam needs to communicate and address our genuine concerns, and this is near the top of the heap.
Sounds pretty rational to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
