Am I crazy for this plan?

I’m thinking of just going balls to the walls grinding the arena over the next few months to save up 20k units to get the missing pieces of the deathless so I can get the deathless Thanos. Especially since there’s nothing else to really spend units on until 4th of July. What do you guys think?

    The only thing I worry about is that they would remove the option to buy the pieces later or increase the prices. As far as them making events later, I’ll only buy them after I have the whole 20k units, that way I don’t waste any

    As a Paragon scrub who only started a year ago (and is waiting for the catch-up mechanic) I mean, why the heck not? The deathless chase is peak end-game content right now. That's what I'd be doing if I were you.

    They won't remove the pieces... They'll eventually make them easier to get, but there's no way they're gonna do that even in the next year. They want to give players time to play with their new toy (Thanos)

    As a Paragon scrub who only started a year ago (and is waiting for the catch-up mechanic) I mean, why the heck not? The deathless chase is peak end-game content right now. That's what I'd be doing if I were you.
    Usually I’d say I could use them on the next necro or something but honestly I can just save up revives from the daily event and apothecary and just do it with the 50+ revives I can save up in the stash

    I spent 10k. 20k is a lot, but like you said… what else are you gonna use it on? I had 10’s of thousands saved up for banquet. Will never do that again, will just use them to awaken thanos. Then reevaluate from there.

    The next thing out will be 9.2. I doubt that brings a new title or anything… so you can just chill your way through that.

    If you can do sigil… there are units, but the arena express is really really good. You don’t even need recoil masteries to blast as many milestones as you want.

    Zone 100 sector 6 incursion run. @Fryday I always wondered if there was a secret at the end of zone 100 sector 6 since that's when your hacks start to expire. Why else would they have a 'zones left' for your hacks. Alas, there is not.

    Kabam Crashed has already confirmed that there will be a way to earn those missing pieces/champs for people who either missed them the first go or simply are new to the game and weren't around when those challenges were first available in the game. He didn't give an exact timeline but said that an early guess (they don't have anything nailed down at the moment) was that it would come either next autumn or maybe first quarted 2026.

    So do with that as you will. If you still want to grab Deathless Thanos before that and you manage to grind the units to get him/the champions necessary to get him, then that's certainly an option and I wouldn't fault you for making that decision. However, I would personally just wait and see what happens with that secondary way to aquire those Deathless champs for free, and then maybe spend those units on one of the big sales/events.

    A third option could also to not decide anything right now and then ask Crashed, in maybe six months time, what the plans are for those who missed the Deathless pieces/champs. Chances are that he'll know more by then than he does now, even if what he does know is basically just, "We don't have any immediate plans to release that type of content". If that's the answer you get, well, then you can act on that and then I'd say that it might actually be a good idea to invest those units into Deathless Thanos. By then, you'd also have a really solid idea of how good he actually is. Right now, all we really know is that Kabam aims for him to be a really meta relevant champion, but we don't know how he'll actually turn out.

    135 from each of the 5 and 6 star arenas twice a week = 540 a week. Let’s say you get 10 milestones of the 4 star arena each time. That’s 800 a week. Super daily gives 30 a day, that’s 1010 a week. So just with the guaranteed units from arena milestones and the super daily event you’d need less than 5 months for 20k units. Then you add the arena crystals and lower levels of monthly eq etc and it probably goes down to 4 months. But again, that’s doing arenas all the time so if you slack on the arenas it could go up to 6 months or so (I probably won’t do the 4 star arena all the time)
