Necro Roster

Do you think it would be a good time for my roster to take necro? I don’t have a 6* Wong or Aegon, so I was thinking Chaevez, Kate, Shuri (I can r3 her), and Abs man. Not sure who to do for a 5th but I can also r2 another 7* if needed. I have ~30 revives saved right now and will do more before I start, but no 4-hour crystals.

    Your fifth slot should be a reverse control immune.

    If you're very good with Kate, then you can do it with your assembled team. But I honestly wouldn't recommend it. That's a little light on resources for a first run.

    Yep, as Donut said, Kate can do it if you're good enough with her. However, a word of warning: I've explored the whole thing and just completed my third Carina's Challenge in there, and I'm definitely NOT good enough with her to get through the whole thing with her. Or even just a single fight. Her ordinary playstyle and her "Necro beast" playstyle are very different and the latter require almost an entirely different skill set from how you use her in, say, Battlegrounds.

    I would also stock up on way more revives. Maybe 60? I averaged somewhere between 50 and 100 revives per run with Aegon, who admittedly is very revive-thirsty. But I also just completed one of the Carina's objectives and that cost me maybe 20 revives for half a run through Necropolis. So 30 is probably a little light.

    That being said, good luck in there. As daunting as it may seem, it's also some of the best content that Kabam has ever released. I've really enjoyed every excursion into the Necropolis that I've done.

    I did a test run and I was able to solo Titania with Kate and get vision arkus to 70% with Abs Man. I feel like I am very confident in my ability to play Kate, so that should not be a problem.

    Otherwise, I do plan to max on my revives after the next AOA fight, which would hopefully be able to take me a long way.

    I didn't find captain Britain to be that annoying actually. But I also didn't use any of your champs on any of my runs. I'd suggest Juggs. If you end up having to brute force GM (not recommended, but I had to for my Carina's challenger one) he's far better for sheer attack. Both will do fine for phase 3. If you can solo Titania with Kate, then I'd say your revive count is good with the above stash. Though I will say I'm surprised with your Abs Man only taking off 30%. I had never used him before Necro Carina's, and I was able to get Vision down in 3 revives with a r4 unascended, again having never used him nor practicing the Vision fight with him even once. I'd suggest watching some videos and learning to play him (though I'm guessing you already have since you have him r5a). Good luck.

    I upgraded Abs man for crucible and happened to have a 4->5 glorious games gem that was only usable on him, so I have not played him outside of some niche uses (and I have never happened to watch anything on how to play him). I will try to learn him better, but I was also playing very sloppy since I didn’t expect to make it far.

    My only concern with Juggs is the ability to lose reverse control immunity with a non-damaging debuff. I have to research the fight, but does the grandmaster not apply any debuffs that could render the reverse control immunity useless?

    Off the top of my head, he does NOT. I was mostly trying not to die and not focusing to much on what was going on. People have used Juggs to solo phase 3, so my guess is not. There are videos out there of him against GM.

    Shuri can do Captain Britan, Wiccan and Psychoman pretty easily

    I like your Shuri, Kate, Chavez, Abs man team. I'm not experienced with Wiccan. I brought 7r2 Juggs for my 2nd run and then 7r3 for the 3rd........ it was a beautiful sight to see him go against the GM. The GM does not place any debuffs on him, so you don't have to worry about reverse controls at all. Shuri can more than do the Cap Britain (I also acknowledge that mine was 7r3 both times i used her for this fight). If you're concerned about reverse controls for the Britain fight, just block the first hit of the special and then dex the others after quickly looking to see whether reverse controls has been activated or not. Whatever you choose, have fun and all the best.
