Is CGR viable for necro?

I'm planning on doing a first necro run soon(Once I recover all the units I lost from banquet) and I was wondering if why I haven't seen anyone try to use CGR(maxed out ascended 6*) for a run. I decided just for fun to see what he could do against titania and I managed to take down about 10% without even really trying which seems pretty decent. Does he just become totally useless later on for some reason? What am I missing

Also I'll add that I that I took a 6* aegon all the way up(max sig, ascended) so I'll probably just use him, but still, would be cool to hear if anyone's tried using CGR

He's a 6 star, so less time in necropolis. In my opinion, the main reason he will not hold up well in necro is because his damages do not stack, and his rotations require very specific actions.

Take Shuri and Onslaught for example. They are not great at first, but their damage can stacked throughout 10 minutes of the fight, which make it great. Cgr has to deal damage in the relatively short time that armor break are active.

Cgr needa to perform at least 2 full 5-hit combos to reach his potential. This may work against him for example if u take the Sharon path, or if u want to bait special 1.

    Who’s Sharon?

    I assume he meant Sauron.

His damage kinda goes from average to super insane and back to average whereas champs like kate bishop, shuri, wong etc start average and then remain insanely high. I also think it's easier in short fights to get the precision on sp2 whereas in necro you're almost always forced to dex so you're going to deal less overall. I used him for the dimensional run and with aptitude stacking you can chunk down the enemies but other than a few niche scenarios he's going to struggle

In long forn content you generally want to use these kind of champs.
    - champs who have consistent damage throughout the fight (lIke venom, Og Ironman)
    - champs whose damage increase throughout the fight (like kate, onslaught).

You should avoid these kind of champs - which has a very short period of time to deal damage, like cgr

Also I've seen a most runs have odin on their team. I have a 6* odin at r1, is it important to take him up for any fights or is it fine to just have him there for boosts?

You want Odin as a 7* and r2 for the fights. I don't think 6* will cut it at all

He's not used for the boosts in Necro, he's used for fighting.

CGR is a nuke for short to medium fights. His rotation is too strict for necro, and his damage window is too short. Use Aegon, or Kate and Onslaught.
