I don’t think Kabam planned on some unknown paragon coming out of nowhere to take the whale prize and end up with 5 rank 4 7 stars becoming the number 1 player in the game. The game team is scaramvling to figure out what to do next

    On the contrary, much like every respectable casino, they 1,000% know who their big spenders (whales) are, and a quick glance at the top 200 is only surprising in that Magus came in third this year. The rancor from the masses stems from them not obscuring better that this was an exercise in pitting the 1% against each other rather than the Hey I Popped A Crystal And Got A Champ I Wanted experience many were hoping for. From a 10,000 ft level, this was at least a similar cash haul from 2022 banquet where allegedly Magus spent just as much to get the first 6r5. I can't speak for the individual devs but I know others in the industry are doing a double take at those numbers. Not things you want to hear as a ftp feeling ignored, but it is what it is.

    You say that like they made any attempt at all to obscure the fact that the banquet is a spending event, pitting the top spenders against each other. The banquet is the current iteration of the gifting event, and the gifting event was without any doubt or pretense an event where the whales try to out-sumo each other in King of the Beach.

    The rest of us are playing flag football.

    In spite of that, I would bet the average F2P player was perfectly fine with the banquet. For the fact they spent literally nothing, most got a pretty decent haul from it. In fact, if you were really stingy with your units you could have come out of the event unit-positive, spending *less than nothing* on the event and still getting a bunch of stuff.

    Most F2P players don’t compare themselves to the whales. People who do that don’t last long in this or any other F2P online game as a service. They compare today to yesterday, and most are just happy if the game decides to just start handing free stuff out for nothing, which the banquet does every year.

    As jelly as I am for whale rewards I still appreciate the contribution, mcoc is a free to download and play game, and as a company, spenders keep the game I love running, and have done so for 10 years, the guy with 4 r4 7* spent as much as a house costs on this mobile game which is wild, but it keeps kabam running as a company, I will keep being ftp as I’ve always been for 9 years straight and enjoy the same rewards months later that spenders get right now, as the game has always been.

    I would like to know the difference in score between SuperBroZ and #2, #10 and so on. He won, yes, but how wide was the margin?

    Id like the team to post some infographs and data once they receive and review it. A word about this from Kabam would be nice

    #1 got 8.8 million points and based on the number of 7* rank 4 champions, the rest of the whales realistically know that they were fighting for #2 spot and below
    #4 got 2.2 million points

    How do you think realm milestone were up and running? SuperBroz was working in the dark to serve us light. This winter, he was also helping out Kabam with the funds to lead their livelihoods. Game Team would be infact relaxing and SuperBroz too in some cruise or resort.

    Thanks for the 7* Thanos from the trophy selector milestone, I only have two champs left in my unowned list:

    I still not sure how to get Deathless Thanos because I missed the stream last night and been out with family today but Labyrinth Ultron will soon be in my roster once we level up.

    Deathless Thanos quest opens up Jan 8th. You need all 4 Deathless to obtain him. For labtron, if your rocking all 7 r3 or even r2s, the labyrinth is a cake walk. Maybe not solos but minimal revives would be needed.

    The game team is not making large scale content decisions based on one player, no matter how big of a whale they are. It truly impacts nobody posting here that this person spent as much as they did. None of you were in this competition. This doesn’t matter except that he helps Kabam and MCOC keep the lights on, and for that I am appreciative.
