Deathless Necro Challenge was Really Fun

Ranks:
7* r2 She-Hulk
7* r2 Thanos
7* r1 Guilly
7* r1 King Groot
7* r1 Vision

Titania (solo): Super simple she hulk fight. Build trauma and throw whatever special you want, also keep fear up if you don’t wanna deal with the unblockable

Aarkus (solo): Even at r1, Guilly melts him. Took 13 whole minutes but she got him down, I’d recommend r2 for a smoother time though lol. Sp1 spam

Omega Sentinel (1 revive): Honestly had zero clue how to use thanos and didn’t read his abilities. Was super confused on how to get the armor break up and then I read the abilities and I was like ahhh. (Build the necrotic energy through counterpunch and stuff and heavy) so easy fight but didn’t know how to play it

Air Walker (2 shot): I should’ve brought Guilly here. She Hulk melted him to 30% but I took wayyy too much block damage. Guilly killed him pretty easily with sp1 spam and nice degen (and she regens)

Revived She-Hulk here

Cap Britain (2 shot): Brought Vision to see if he’d be ok, got her down to 49% which wasn’t bad but wow, he’s slow and annoying to play. She Hulk finished it pretty easily, would just recommend using her over vision

Wiccan (solo): This fight was like 3 mins flat with she hulk. Sp1 spam and don’t parry and he melts

Psycho Man (solo): Brought She Hulk here instead of the cosmics and she melted him. Just follow the prompts and your trauma damage builds

Apocalypse (1 revive): She Hulk rules here but I took too much block damage. Same as the other fights, if you can dex his specials you can solo

Tigra (solo): Started with a heavy to keep fear up so I won’t miss, easy fight. Just heavy occasionally and you don’t take rupture damage with she hulk so it’s super fun

Hercules (4-5 revives): I hate everything about this fight. His protections stack to insane levels, he fails your degens with infuriate and the block damage is insane. With a r1 I definitely think you’d have to revive a few times at least. I think he was winning intercepts he shouldn’t have multiple times and it’s such a slog, it was a pain to get him down. I was regretting not switching lanes lol. This was the only bad fight though

Cap Sam (solo): King Groot impressed me. He was only r1 doing massive bursts and massive incinerate damage. I built 10 armor breaks and threw the sp2 when I had the furies and he melted. Heavy to refresh the incinerate and you’re good

Dragon Man (solo): Wither from she-hulk controls the power gain, nothing special here. Just hit him and he dies

Cap IW (solo): She-Hulk punched him a lot

Nova (solo): She Hulk punched him a lot again, used sp2 for wither and that’s it

Grandmaster (2 team revives): I just threw everyone at him. Thanos and She Hulk did a lot and Vision finished off the reverse controls part

Overall other than Herc I had a ton of fun, She-Hulk is so good and it feels like this challenge was perfectly designed for the most part. Every fight can be soloed if you’re playing well enough and have then at r2 at least. Thanos was also fun when I got to play him and despite being unduped he put in a lot of work against the GM and Omega

It’s kinda crazy how good Guilly and KG are too with the team so I wouldn’t sleep on them either, Guilly was invaluable for a few fights and I would recommend r2 if you like her and want to have a better time

Vision sucked. Kinda sad but he was useless other than the GM part cause he’s reverse controls immune. None of the fights are really built for him, any other option has more damage and more reach so he’s just kinda there. Only champ from the bunch that I wouldn’t r2.

Took Thanos to sig 200 with the rewards and pulled a Jack dupe from my Titan nexus so overall a win!

I also enjoyed the quest....though admittedly the last path (cap through nova) got a bit tedious as She Hulk just smashed everything.

Overall I thought the Deathless chase was fantastic. Were there a few requirements for deathless pieces I didn't enjoy? Sure, but it was something new, different and fun that they brough to the game in 2024.

Can I take guardian path instead? Division can be great for valk with his power drain abilities, and I hate fighting apoc and herc. Red guardian and guardian both are simple to fight comparatively.

Guardian path still seems bugged so I'll be avoiding it when I do my run.

I did the guardian path and it's not bad at all got solo on red guardian, sam, dragonman, cap, nova

    used tree for sam
she hulk took everyone else just sp3 twice and keep baiting specials

ate guardian sp2 so it took up a revive

valk is a bit difficult but if you know how to handle the fight it's easy

just keep doing 4 hit combos to avoid the autoblock it's a lot better than doing no damage for some time when they dash at you ( herc fight is BS )

Yeah I think there are some VFX bugs with Guardian rn. I think I still might have pivoted to the Guardian path cause I hate Herc, especially since he wins intercepts randomly somehow

I love when Herc refuses to throw his heavy so you lose 30% of your health in red numbers or when he refuses to come in for an intercept. Also gullly needs the sp1 to keep neutralize up but activating it gives him protection too. It genuinely got unmanageable for me lol

Why tree for sam instead of thanos? Sam can't autoblock if his armors are removed right?

thanos died to guardian sp2 and tree does more red damage against #Hero tech champs

Both can solo him so it doesn’t matter which one you choose. I wanted to get some use out of KG and I thought he was a little safer (plus I wanted to save thanos for GM and I was out of health potions lol)

Oh so you'll recommend tree over thanos for guardian and sam? And how to manage armors on Guardian? After 10 stacks king groot can't inflict more armor breaks right? So he'll have the huge energy resist to reduce incen damage?

thanos synergy gives undermine also when sam tries to autoblock his armors go away

each hit of my sp2 was doing 60k-75k red damage after 10 armor breaks and 5-8 furies

you can use either of them I was comfortable using the tree as he is easy to play also has regen

This is really useful - nice to know the team works for the Guardian path; which I haven't done yet

Was thinking the same thing. Only thing is, I can't remember that Valk nodes & fight. Why is DVision good for her & a quick summary of how to play it? Thx

Valk has that node where you have to choose either one of these
    - block freely but her specials cost no power when launched
    - her specials cost regular power but she will always have a pierce active so one block will kill you.

Division with thanos synergy has this prowler like ability where he power drains remaining power (upto only one bar though) when opponent throws a special. And the miss on parry allows you to get easy opening bypassing pierce. But his damage is too low that's the only issue.

Now I remember. Appreciate it. Guess it's a choice of Apoc & Herc or a slog against Valk. Decisions, Decisions...

@Wolf911 who did you use for valk? Division?

used dvision got a good enough run but the damage was too little then used tree who does work

just hit her block occasionally so she has pierce and her specials cost power

don't rely on the armor breaks to stick ( she purifies them ) just use sp2s

he has regen so you can tank one of sp1 hits occasionally

There's more posts floating around about it too.
It seems to be hit and miss. I had it last month on my Wong 10 year run. You can't see anything. I just didn't want to risk it and did Apoc for my deathless run.

Yeah. I took that path. Only kicker is the Guardian fight was bugged where I couldn't see the screen. After that it was fine.

How do people fight when they can't see the screen? That's why I avoided Guardian this time. @JMORG1111

I thought it was gonna be my most costly Karina Challenge but it turned out to be my cheapest. Probably the most fun I had in Necropolis.

I finished it. Solo’d a few fights. Played some others well. Sucked at a couple (Apoc, omega sentinel)
But my goodness…phase 3 of the final fight is just beyond me and my skill set. Once I get the reverse controls down, trying to complete those particular prompts for whatever reason is just brutal. Think thanos is just going to stay at sig 100. There is only so much of that I can take before “challenge” becomes “screw this”

If I could get him to a corner, I could make out his outline. Then it was just smash away with R3 Thanos. After about 10 revives, I got a fuzzy screen instead of a solar flare screen and was able to solo the rest.
