@Eakomo if you had used him in the cosmic quest of eq, the falter applies an AAR Without falter the counter punch still fails, against the 1.1 boss still didn't fully work If shocker was unblockable, which he can, the unstoppable will fail

He’s excellent. Combines great sustainability with fantastic damage and some decent utility, and he’s a solid defender (not serpent level but still a great stall and can be dangerous). He’s incredibly well rounded and anyone saying he’s overrated either doesn’t have him, or they don’t understand what makes a champion good. When I judge a champion’s performance and relevancy, I typically look at 5 things:1. How much utility do they have vs their class target?2. How easy is it to build their damage?3. How often can they reach their peak?4. How survivable are they and how many different ways are they survivable (e.g. are they only reliant on a big health pool or do they have damage mitigation, regen etc)5. How potent are they on BGs/AW defense in a vanilla setting, and how do they interact with defensive nodes? For me, Thanos ticks pretty much all of these flawlessly. First, he’s got great utility with access to panic (evade and miss counter through counterpunch), pulverise, armour break and shatter (which now includes passives along with the 200% AAR), immunity to poison and Coldsnap, energise, up to double ability accuracy on personal effects, access to lots of buffs and debuffs including fury and corrosion. Counterpunch can also be considered utility as it’s a free, easy intercept.Second, the damage is easy to build. Heavy for armour shatter, then sp1 to build 4 furies (guaranteed with 20+ energy) then sp1 to KO them with big crits and corrosion. Using counterpunch speeds up the fight so much as well. Fights are fast and it’s easy to build damage in longer fights too, 8 furies are super easy to maintain.Third, he peaks quite often. He can gain fury, apply corrosion (incl. passive from sp3) and has the armour shatter. And combining energise and counterpunch really extends his versatility in matchups you wouldn’t expect. The extra ability accuracy also helps in niche situations, and because you have access to the long pause through counterpunch (or punishes) and have your effects expire more slowly, it allows him to do very well even when conditions are not quite right.Fourth, he’s very sustainable. His health pool is really large, so he can sustain a lot of damage generally. He also has access to protection when he drops below a threshold of 25% (once per fight) which caps damage up to 100% if awakened dependent on his energy level (scales from 40-100%). Also, he has access to a genesis passive on sp1 that heals him for 2% of all damage dealt, similarly to that of OG guillotine. Because Thanos deals such great damage, this healing can be pretty nice, and it’s easy to keep up if you need it as it’s with the sp1. Also, I’d argue his energise and general damage is sustainability as he can close out fights quickly and have frequent access to specials, and counterpunch means he’s not blocking multiple hits trying to get an opening vs stun immune. Fifth, he’s a pretty solid defender. Take the large health pool, take the protection (that pauses during specials) and scaling energise and you already have a great stall champ. But add in the counterpunch that also grants Thanos unstoppable (if he goes above 2 counterpunch) and the sp2 ‘no retreat’ style instant corrosion, and you have yourself a pretty annoying defender. Especially in BGs and war when there are other nodes or interactions to consider. So overall, I’d say he’s extremely powerful. And to top it off, he’s incredibly fun to play. One of my favourite champs in the game for sure because of how versatile he is, how much damage he has, the solid utility and great defender strength potential.
R2ed him but tbh, not impressed so far. However, he makes me feel some kind of achievement for completing the deathless collection.

Just finished necro and She-Hulk has been the mvp by far. Thanos didn’t really do anything special on this run for me. I’m considering pouring sig into She-Hulk, but the would that be a mistake to not use them on Thanos?
I'm really lazy these days with this game. If I have to read and reread and watch a couple videos to maximize a champion I'm probably not going to like them that much. My awakened r3 Thanos probably isn't going to go into regular rotation for at least a few months.I think I can do his sp1 rotation now. He randomly goes unblockable when there's a yellow icon. The sp2 sometimes does a lot of damage. I don't know what is going with him. Build charges and he does stuff.
