GAME CLIENT UPDATE - FIX APPARENTLY MADE

I believe restarting game clients should address the issues people were seeing earlier this morning (missing form alliance, units gone, etc). It was working for me as of one minute ago, but report if there are lingering issues.

    Note: It is possible this issue primarily affected players with Sigil activated, and might be related to the deactivation of the Sigil. If you didn’t see the issue, that might be the difference. I’m hearing things in real time, so I’m just passing along although I don’t have 100% confirmation of that.

    My data is back, but my Sigil is gone now. I thought the switchover was supposed to be 1/25?

    This is true. Even though everything is fixed, the arena express mode disappeared.

    can confirm, I don’t own the sigil and nothing happened to me

    There was an issue, probably related to Sigil deactivation, that probably desynchronized the game client from the servers, and the devs were able to push an emergency fix for this. Simply restarting the game client (force close and then reopen) should be enough to fix the issue. Deleting and reinstalling the app would essentially do the same thing, but is probably unnecessary at this time.

    of course express is gone, its part of sigil lol.

    This was previously announced as part of a transition to the new subscription version of the Sigil.

    Restarting made the trick, thanks, my Sigil is still on and working normally btw

    My recollection is there was a statement somewhere about the current Sigil retiring on the 13th and the new one starting up on the 27th. There was some discussion on the forums about what would happen during the two week gap between the two, in terms of things like inventory and arena express and such.

    The emergency fix does appear to be that the reactivated the Sigil; my guess is that deactivating it changed something in how the game client synchronizes with the game servers and broke everything. Fortunately, if there is an upside, this implies there was no actual data corruption, and everything we saw was just visual and not the game itself going nuts. So nothing should have been lost or otherwise mangled.

    Correction: it appears on my account the Sigil boost is still on, inventory caps are still Sigil enhanced, but arena express is deactivated.

    Not like this - I would have expected a formal announcement at least 24 hrs before they did (the previous announcement just said it would happen and the new versions tart on Jan 27th). And it's only partially gone, as we can see now, parts of the sigil are still active and others not. I don't think this was intentional.
