Boss Rush

I was excited to see something new added to the game however the Boss Rush is a big disappointment. I think Kabam is forgetting about the average player who does not have the resources to play a quest like this. I enjoy a challenge but prefer to save my resources for Map 5 and getting that uncollected title.

If you're looking to get uncollected title. This challenge is way smaller in comparison . Tryvthe challenge as many times as you can with your best team and see how far you get without spending. If you at least get to magneto and beat him ,then you're 60percent equipped for act 5.2

In comparison to the last one, this Boss Rush Challenge was definitely even more of a breeze for those of us in the more advanced bracket.

Not every bit of content is going to be tailored to every player of the community unfortunately. This challenge was for more end-game players who are running low on things to do. If you aren’t Uncollected, then you aren’t really lacking the content to complete. If this challenge was too difficult, try finishing the EQ or get chipping away at Act 5. It’s available until January 31st and consists of 6 fights. So apply yourself, get yourself prepared for those nodes doing Act 5 and RTTL and try again in a week.

These are 6* champions and these Boss Rush Events give us a taste of what to expect in the near-future. It also gives Kabam an opportunity to test them before launching them officially into the game. So it’s not made to be easy as much as it’s made to show results and possible flaws, all while giving the end-game community creative new content and rewards.

I did not say I wanted it easy - I just would like to see two levels hard and lets say advanced for you guys that have higher powered champs or are willing to spend money on revives. Kabam is leaving a large number of players out on this one. If they want to test something then test it with someone who is going to get paid testing not us poor working class people who have to pay to get through it. Sorry I just do not think it is fair. And, Slingshot I am equipped for 5.2 ;-) working on it now.

If you can do anything in Act 5, you can can handle this event. What's your top champs like? I would rather help people strategize on how to clear something, than just dump on it as **** and unfair.

This challenge is much easier than the collector. Plus this challenge will disappear unlike act 5. Think about it when using resources on a challenge that will always exist versus one that won’t always be around

I used two champs to beat this boss rush - my 5/50 sig 50 SL and my 4/40 sig 40 Nebula who I revived 3 times specifically for thorns Mags (revives was when the sp2/20 electro charge thumper kicked Mags to his SP3). I had planned on using my 3/45 X-23 but realized it'd go quicker just pummeling everyone with SL. So, not hard if you happen to have 2 very specific characters.
I had a thought of using the same trash champs to fight the trash champs but then realized I'm not a masochist, though for a brief horrifying second as the 4 star crystal was spinning it dawned on me they might be rewarding those champs in the reward crystals. Pulled a Moon Knight, so eh.

Well Amonthir you are so wrong I did not call this quest ****. Personally I have cleared it. Did I get **** from my 4* yes. My gripe with Kabam is that they seem geared to the higher ranking players and forgetting the middle of the road guys. It would not have been hard for them to put out something they could play too.

Most content is playable by a wide range of players. But there will always be content explicitly designed for higher end players, and they aren't going to add compensating content for lower players every time they add content for higher players.

Plus there is a misconception that content like the uncollected difficulty is only for the top players. Uncollected difficulty is actually for all players. Some can do it now. The others can work towards it and eventually participate. The game isn't designed so that Act 1 is only for low players and Act 2 is only for medium players and Act 3 is only for high players and Act 4 is for very high players and Act 5 is for the top tier players. That's not how progression works. The entire set of Acts is for everyone to work through over time. The same thing is more generally true for most of the other content. It is meant to be something that all players aspire to eventually reach, and for the ones that do to complete.

When Act 4 first came out I couldn't do it. That doesn't mean it wasn't for me. When expert mode came out, I couldn't fully explore it the first time. That doesn't mean it wasn't for me. It was for me to work towards.

The boss rush is the extremely rare event that doesn't have a lower end component. To say that Kabam is forgetting about the middle of the road players when they release one thing among the vast majority of content that has lower tier components is wildly exaggerating to the point of being entirely incorrect.

Got through it with only 4*s with no potions or revives, this content was not made for everyone but with a bit of skill it can definitely be done with an average roster

Just now completed boss rush.. with 3 single 20% revives and 6 lvl 3 health potions..

The rewards are good for the amount of effort required. I think of it from this perspective, players with the better rosters can clear this using less or possibly no resources, but the rewards also have a much smaller impact on their account. A player that has to use pots probably doesn't have the roster, but the rewards will give a better relative progression.

If you can clear it only using the equivalent of the 175 units in pots then it is definitely worth taking a run at it. I would suggest only doing that if you can get to Magneto without losing champs along the way and like others have suggested, you can keep trying and it has an extremely low energy cost.
