Is 7* Ultron worth an awakening gem?

I got a tech awakening gem from Necro Carina’s challenges a while back and I’d been sitting on it trying to decide if Arcade’s dupe was high-value enough to be worth it until I remembered I have this guy. I don’t hear a lot about Ultron these days, even as a 6*, so I’m wondering if anyone has any thoughts on him. Do you use Ultron? He any good in bgs, or is he mostly for questing? Is he worth a gem, or is it better to just use it on Arcade as planned?

    luck boi. My opinion, I don't really think that Ultrons sig is necessary. Better give it to arcade ig. Iw would hold onto it as USAFA teased he was holding his gem and they all saw some teasers when they went to Kabam(all this info coming off of lags stream). This could also be a champ just getting 7* treatment like rinterah. Best to wait.

    If you intend to invest sigs into him, then yes, absolutely worth the awakening. Gives Ultron a tremendous boost to his utility for things like Hazard Shift, which is especially relevant right now in the Victory Track.

    Not a bad thing to know that there’s apparently a god tech champ on the horizon, but I’m not sure I’m willing to wait the minimum ~2 months for the supposed tech to hit the titan only for me to not pull them since I’m not saving titan shards.

    I do have sig stones laying around. I like having a stockpile for if I pull a champ I really like but I could probably take him to sig 60 if I wanted to without losing too much sleep if that means anything.

    Yeah that’s a good enough kick to make it a real headache for shell shocked folks who’ll see him on your roster and a viable option for quite a few match-ups.

    I think we don’t see him much simply because almost no one has him duped as a 7

    He is unique as a tech attacker, with one single option for all hazard shift nodes. He really needs high sig though. Don't awaken arcade until he exit titan I'll say. Ultron is more rare and it's unlikely to pull one again.

    I don’t have him as a 7, but i have a lot of heart for Ultron. Most of the content I see about him these days seems to be AW-focused.

    I used one of my first two tech 6* gems on Ultron, and really liked him at the time. My experience was that he really needs high sig to take full advantage of his sig ability. I got good use from him ‘back in the day’ but not sure he holds up as well relative to the newer and newly revamped tech champs.

    I recently had a 7* tech gem and - despite having Ultron as an option for it - used it on Sentinel instead if that helps any.

    As a owner of a 7* Ultron R3 and has sig200.. Yes.
    He's an incredible monster on hazard shift fights vs every mutant or anything that can bleed like arcade and redskull. can take even onslaught with a bit of damage due to being metal.
    His pseudo immunity to energy DOTs and energy attacks in general is amazing.

    Bit of a hidden domino counter in battlegrounds (due to crit fails being energy damage) and his functions cannot be failed.
    I put a gem into him as soon as i got that lucky nexus from the july event.

    Very safe with stun on sp1/ damage on sp2 / power burn on sp3 and stun. If you know how to use him for the matchups and nodes.. not many things can stop him.

    I mean, do you think your gonna naturally dupe him quickly? That alone would be a deciding factor for me.

    I mean...based on a recent video from Lagacy, I would be holding a tech gem for a bit. Two content creators were very cagy about "something coming" that they knew about that other do not where the tech gem might be valuable. Nice that certain people can manage their resources with information that others don't have.

    just saying, you never know It might be fam cause I heard a lot of people talking Abt him(NOT CONFIRMED JUST A RUMOR)

    you can heavy spam and if the opponents throws a special he just auto block when you have enough tokens.

    After messing around with him a bit and getting into his playstyle, I went ahead and just pulled the trigger (and r2’ed him for good measure obviously). Appreciate the responses everyone.
