Deathless Piece: Buy or Wait?

As a very mid-valiant player, I have successfully obtained and awakened three Deathless champs: King Groot, Vision, and She-Hulk. The piece I am missing is for Guillotine, the Sword Piece, which was set as a challenge in BGs when reaching GC. I was unable to push to GC that season due to my roster being underdeveloped combined with my lack of skill.

I have 6.5k units saved up in my stash. All my units are either arena grinded or obtained from Platinum Tracks (the only thing I spend money on). I spent around 30k units total on the 4th of July and Cyber Sales, nothing else.

With Deathless Mausoleum being available as a permanent addition, I have covered all paths except for one. Deathless Thanos seems like an interesting champ. But I am not diving into Necropolis to awaken him at any cost, cause long-form content isn’t for me.

I am confused and hesitant to spend 5k on a piece, but I am aware that I have missed an opportunity to obtain the piece in the intended way. So, I would like the community to give suggestions on whether I should buy the piece or wait for the catch-up (it has not been confirmed when exactly).

    Wait. I bought (two pieces) and in my opinion, it only makes sense if you plan to awaken and high sig thanos. I hate necropolis (still have carina challenges left) but I just bit the bullet and emptied a bunch of revives to get it done. Unawakened thanos in necropolis is very stressful and will be a benchwarmer for average valiants.

    Thanos unawakened is quite a different champ than awakened and high sig. if you are going to wait for an awakening gem and sig stones, just wait on all of it. You aren’t missing much at all by not having unawakened thanos.

    If you want to do the deathless necropolis run, I’d buy the piece. You only need one which really isn’t that bad and the rewards for the deathless run are worth that in my opinion. If you’re only going to buy it to get deathless thanos and do nothing else with him, wait.

    I'm missing a one piece for DKing Groot and will spend the 5 k once I grind the arena to get enough units. If it was 10k or more I would consider waiting, but 5 k to get DKing Groot plus DThanos is worth it for me.

    I hate to wait a year plus if you are able to spend and get Thanos now regardless whether you will do Necropolis to dupe. Really a nice champ to add in your roster. In a year’s time, a new chase for another champion series may also be launched

    I am in the middle. I need 35k units worth to buy what I missed during a lengthy break. Once I have the units, I will buy them, but I am not buying them one at a time. I am leaving the opportunity open for something to change by the time I get to 35k, but if nothing changes then I will get them all then. I am also saving all of my battlechips until I hit 35k units so I don't go broke once I buy them.

    This is probably the most clearcut ever case to buy the piece. Thanos is incredible, the team is incredibly fun, and to be honest the necropolis run with the full team was also pretty fun. I know a bunch of people (including myself) were really excited to see that legends title in the missions so if you don’t have one, there’s also a really cool one out of those challenges. 100% go for it.

    I was in the same exact situation as you because I couldn't reach GC with 5*, so I bought the piece with my arena units & duped her.
    They said that there will be ways to get them in 2026 if you don't mind waiting.
