How about implementing a health reduction after 30 seconds of pause?
How about implementing a health reduction after 30 seconds of pause? Will that be 30 seconds of continuous pausing or even intermittent? And why the arbitrary 30 seconds? Does that mean 29seconds of pausing is ok?
It's incredible, that till now, Kabam didn't removed Pause button on BG.This is not anymore a fight game, but a Pause game. And dont say , if you dont win over 15k you deserve it.This isnt fair play! I may contact support on this issue in a few days with the idea to the summoner that is absent of the match for 20+ seconds instant lose. So, it will be for the ones that actually pause in game and others that just put the phone down or do another thing. These people should be ashamed of what they do.Even entire matches with pause.Helloooooo.... How may you agree with that?
How about implementing a health reduction after 30 seconds of pause? Almost the same I said once, but different, because the idea was that the pause abuser or even if he does as @DNA3000 said, going off the game, the system may detect xx seconds off of game and the result will be lose that fight (or entire match)As you can see below20 seconds - P1 Detected hits = 0End of match - P2 wins✌️

How may you agree with that? I am a mediocre player who is so lazy in battle grounds I barely ever bother with GC and when I am there I just do the minimum for the rewards . And even I can eaisly get over 15k. So yeah if you don’t win over 15k it’s your fault And lol good luck contacting support jsut because you can’t play the game
Let's pause this arguement and look at the pros and cons of both. Pros: the maximum point that a pauser will get is 15K points but a minimum active player can get is zero. Most of the time the active player should get more than 15K in points so this only becomes an issue when a summoner loses to a pauser. To lose to a pauser twice out of 3 rounds is hard to do unless it's due to lack of skill or the draft is horrible. Now a bad draft will happen but I'm talking aobut a horrible draft that you know there's no way you will win. If you lack skill or have one of the worst draft of all time, it seems you will lose the vast majority of the time. If you are skilled enough with a horrible draft, you will most likely get over 15k points. I think the only time summoners complain about a pauser is when they lose. Lets be honest here, most people would love to play against a pauser, your odds of winning would be very high. It's not like evey match there's someone pausing the game to try to win. Maybe less than 5% of players would pause.
By the way, if both pause and both get 15k points, it is a tie?
By the way, if both pause and both get 15k points, it is a tie? Yes it is. It happened to me once where we both paused first round, second round he did two hits and paused, and last round we both fought normally, all while spamming emotes at each other. One of my favorite matches.
It will be really amazing , a word from Kabam, because no other game ,that I know have this thing.
I just find it funny that people feel the need to defend pausing as a strategy. Probably the same people that think the Paul-Tyson fight was a display of skill.

You didnt understand anything Not with me the problem to win over pause abusersBut, this isnt in any way a Gaming Honest way to play...because, it even isnt play...lolSo, im not saying about me, rofl, but about the sportsmanship ,the fairness. I really doubt you can tell me games that you pause, instead play and may win or you don't be punished for that.It will be really amazing , a word from Kabam, because no other game ,that I know have this thing.@KabamPinwheel @KabamDORK @KabamCrashed
I just find it funny that people feel the need to defend pausing as a strategy. Probably the same people that think the Paul-Tyson fight was a display of skill. If all my opponents did the pause trick, I would win 99% of my fights and be in Celestial rank. The only players against players who pause are the ones who can't beat them. Like @DNA3000 has proven, with anything involving time in a competitive nature, manipulating time is part of the startegy. In MCOC case, pausing isn't a winning solution for the vast majority of the time so why cry over a strategy that doesn't maximize winning unless it's against a less player. Seems like this is a great example of "Skill Issue".

Seems like this is a great example of "Skill Issue". Nope. It’s really just an issue where I personally think it’s a slimey and disrespectful thing to do others. My personal win rate against pausers is 99% or better. It’s just not the purpose of the pause button. It’s a QoL feature thats to allow for players to deal with real life, it’s not a tool for point conservation. Players that do that are exploiting it.Where it impacts me directly is wasting a resource I personally care about, being time. It’s like being in line behind somebody who’s reading the menu and trying to decide what they want on a menu that has 2 choices for 2 minutes. That person should have never gotten line if they weren’t prepared to make a choice. It’s rude to the people behind them.

If you have the time to play this game and discuss it online, an extra minute here and there due to a pause probably isn't the major inconvenience you're making it out to be. The real issue might be your need to be in control and dictate other people's behavior.

I’m not dictating behavior either just waiving the shame finger at those that deserve it. Just because something is possible, it doesn’t make it right. Using a QoL feature as “strategy” is abusing its intended use. Not sure how that’s a take that bothers you. Not one argument I’ve read even presents as the right thing to do either. It’s either characterized as a a problem that lacks a practical solution, which I accept, or it’s minimized as an issue with low priority, which I also accept. Neither of those points absolve it from being a loser strategy that lacks integrity. It should be a forfeit since the fight was never attempted or was essentially quit out of mid fight but it is what is. And that’s what would happen in every other game mode btw. What I find funny is the people defending this because they are either (a) pausers who lack either skill or consideration or (b) feel the need to defend getting easy wins from pausers in a mode that’s supposed to push competition.
I pause the game all the time for a few seconds, to put my drink down, finish writing my sentence, etc. please don’t get rid of it Is this how you play battlegrounds?

You would still get the easy win from pausers if they didn't pause. They would either forfeit or fight to the death and end up with a lower score than if they had paused. By the way, I was playing BG again today and am running into a much higher % of pausers in Vibranium than usual. I think the hazard node might have something to do with it.
