New forums, new Character Wishlist thread

Just as a reminder, our rules:

Character requests are still a very frequent topic of conversation within our community, and with good reason - there are a ton of amazing Marvel characters in their universe.

The old Character wish list thread was ballooning a bit, and several characters requested in that thread have since been added to The Contest. We're starting up a new thread to house these discussions so that they can continue, but in a more up to date manner.

A few FAQ's:

1) Why haven't you added (X character) yet?!

A: there are so many characters we want to add, but simply haven't gotten to yet. A character's lack of presence in the Contest currently does not necessarily mean that we've overlooked them or that we don't already have them on our radar. Our teams have a finite amount of time in order to produce content, and we'd love to bang characters out quicker - but still need to maintain realistic developer cadences.

2) We need more female characters and more diversity.

A: Our own team is quite diverse itself, and we agree that representation is an important concern!

3) Why do you bother adding (X re-skinned character) when you've not even had a chance to add (x character not in The Contest)?

A: While some people are not a fan of character re-skins, MANY of our players are. The Marvel universe is one with a lengthy lore, and almost every beloved character has gone through some sort of costume change or shift at some point in their super-powered careers. These differences offer a good opportunity to re-introduce players to content they may not have managed to obtain the first time around, and allowing new players to pick up a certain champion while still keeping things a bit fresh. Our goal is to have a healthy balance between release types.

4) Can you confirm if a requested character is going to be released?

A: The short answer is no. We have specific timelines regarding when we can announce content, and that means that we can't pop in to say 'hey, that person is coming!'. For those wanting to keep on top of our latest announcements or teases, following our Twitter and Facebook accounts are your best shot. We also have an Instagram account that you should follow. So go forth, and suggest! We're not going to individually reply to the comments and suggestions that we see, but we are reading everything.

This should go without saying, but please discuss the characters you'd like to see without insulting each other or trying to discredit someone's opinion. Friendly debate is welcome, but the emphasis here is 'friendly' ; )

For a Mutant spider hero, they should add Spider-Man as a Horseman of Apocalypse! While there have been Horseman versions of Spider-Man before, I think Kabam should create their own version of the Webslinger.

Would love to see a kurt connors lizard a science champion maybe poison immune utilizes rupture bursts kind of like a mix of werewolf and scorpion unstoppable with a regen mechanic where he has certain percentages of health that he starts regening but cant regen past a certain threshold to be like him losing limbs and maybe a tracking debuff from doing a dash back hold like werewolfs howl but he smells the air so he cant lose the opponents scent and puts a tracking debuff on them rather then passive so its countered by cleanse and purify also he could have passive furrys and buff immune like titania but they are capped at like 6 10% furys so hes not too op and hes got no crits but does rupture burst instead like lady deathstrike ramp up by dexing attacks to build furys from immunities and then special one is a series of tail whips that apply multiple ruptures heavy attack is 2 or 3 claw scratches that causes ruptures to burst activating special 2 before final heavy hit causes burst to do more damage at end of special 2 removing all ruptures in the process special 2 is a sonic roar. Special 3 he sheds his skin and begins a volley of attacks on the opponent he then refreshes all active ruptures and puts a large physical vulnerability passive on the opponent as well as regens a quarter percent of health for each rupture on the opponent unless it exceeds his percentage of healing. I think the unstoppable could be like magnetos where its in his heavy attack but can be intercepted to be removed and put on cooldown finally as a defender he puts an aggression passive on himself so he fights more aggressively Think this could be a great kit for a lizard if hes not already in production if any devs want any help or ideas id love to help

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Hannibal King. A vampire, who hates being a vampire, who kills vampires alongside his "ally", Blade. Potential for some great synergies between the two (and Dr Strange, Ghost Rider and maybe Morbius too)! King's abilities include: superhuman speed, strength, and senses. He can recover from severe physical injury. King is impervious to diseases and poisons, and virtually immortal. He can hypnotize humans, fly, control rats aaaaand... he can transform into a bat and a wolf! Whaaaaaaaat?!

I mean, what more could we ask for in a character for MCOC?! The guy has it all. Crazy abilities, an amazing story arc, and potential for some mind blowing animations and synergies.

His addition could also open the door for some other famous bloodsuckers of the Marvel Universe like Bloodline, Dracula, Victor Strange, Bloodstorm, Xarus and Deacon Frost. And I'm sure not many MCOC players will know that Jubilee has a history as a vampire (although she was ultimately cured... meh!)
