Paragon Crystal shards coming with new Side Events?

After updating the game, I noticed in the Crystals tab that I have 700 Paragon crystal shards (don't know how I got these).

I have to say, if they are, thank you very much, it's about time we moved on from the Cavaliers which were really measly.

    Probably not, used to get them from a calender based on progression prior to the introduction of the super daily event. Since odds are good you were mid week on that when the super event became permanent, and since there is no other way to get them currently, you will probably be sitting on them until the end of time.

    It's sad to be honest, especially with this month's SQ giving such a measly amount of crystal shards for the poor Cavalier crystal..

    Do you have any idea how I have the 700 shards then?

    Weekly progression Callender that they killed when the super event was started. Rather then letting them run out for everyone so they could finish the crystal they just took them away. I'd annoying to have to see it all the time, but the daily super event is so much better that it's not really worth complaining about.

    If they don’t plan to bring them back, I’d have them just round up to a whole paragon crystal for everyone and get rid of it.
