Epoch Questions

Hey guys, I'm in the middle of Epoch, 15 revives deep, and on Cassie(20% I hate this fight especially with the back dash node combined with crush node). My strategy is to brute force this through super daily revives that we get daily.

1. I'm out of boosts, which solo crystals give boosts
2. gwenpool and Heimdall seem easy, how is toad, cause I have seen people say his ai is better than before(note, I became Paragon recently)
3. do you think that my team. r2 Kushala sig 80, r2 sinister and r4 sig180 6* onslaught will be sufficient as my prediction is I will finish in about a month or 2 as I also have 1000 units just in case
4. for prowler, onslaught with Abt 10 revives should do right?
5. I'm not really worried Abt ares, but should? My main strategy is to pause at start of specials to be prepared. otherwise he's fine right.

I'm sure this is just me, but I had to quit out of the Gwenpool fight because I just can't handle reverse controls. It is super hard for me and I'm gonna have a much more difficult time than I originally thought. If you are going for initial completion, I would recommend the Death by Debuffs Tech/Science path. You have a good team though, if you can handle reverse controls you should be fine.

I don't have any good tech champs

Isn't Cassie the first fight? Not the middle of epoch.

I'd say don't. While yes it can be used, you'll really struggle with ironfist and prowler .

I'm already 10 revives deep, there no going back now

I will say I tried this staregty, and couldn't get it correct, especially as he speeds up in later phases. But you will probably do better than I did. And if it matters, I can almost 100% carry people to zone 15 in incursions sector 7/sector 6 zone 25 with zero revives, and this I blew through 125 revives on just two paths, mostly all on Ares.

If you are going for completion I wouldnt take this path. This was the toughest path for me out of the 6. Would suggest Hulkling or Nebula path.

If you’re ten revives deep on the first fight, you have a very long road ahead of you. Gwen is tricky and can trip you up, same for Heimdall. Toad is difficult unless you’re playing well… might want to pull the ripcord.

done with both Cassie and gweenpool. Just realized I cant do side and event quest for the 7* shards and have to just do super daily. I'm getting plat pass soon so that will given me 1000 units to burn. hopefully I'll get my first 3 r3s from epoch(have 2 t4 alpha, need to get 1 from incursions. and the t6 class).Abt 40 revives deep. Remember my account is early Paragon and I'm pretty **** at the game

OP, have you explored act 7? Completed act 8? Both can be transformative for your account and far less expensive than bullying your way through Epoch.
  • Darthbane3141Darthbane3141 Member Posts: 1,263 ★★★★
I would recommend doing an initial completion of act 8 and 9.1 and then trying Epoch. It's a lot easier, more time consuming by a lot though

I wouldn’t even had done this quest to get Valaint and definitely not when you use 10 one the very first fight that’s call for trouble my advice would had to do 8.4 100 and act 9.1 100 or crucible

I'm too lazy to explore anything. This is the laziest way, even if I have to win 3 bgs matches everyday. every stack of 20 revives gives me also 600 units so that totals to Abt 30-35 revives every 20 days. so every 20 days, I can get a boss done. plus I am getting dazzler pass so thats and extra 2000 units. Ill be done by march. I will ultimately have the record for longest and most expensive epoch run of all time!

It’s your account my friend, but I’m sure taking time to explore other content will save you revives and units in the long run

ye I repespect ur opinion, but what value do units and revives have if not spent. until they are spent, they do not have value. I am coping cause I am already down the rabbit hole as now I realize that I cant do side quest for the 6000 7* shards. incursion Super daily and bgs is the only way I can get these shards until I finish epoch. WOMP WOMP. its fine though, after accumulating so much bad luck for my last titan and gacha box, I needed this win. this titan for completion better get me a Zola. I will update this post once I finish completion and give y'all the total count of revives and units spent.

If I was you, Cassie is the first fight. I’d fight her over and over again until I had the fight down. At least be able to take off 50% in 1 go before continuing.
  • DannyB01DannyB01 Member Posts: 606 ★★★
Turn back dude. Cassie is one of the easier fights on that lane. Gwenpool is fine if you can handle reversed controls (most can’t) but can easily catch you with unblockable specials. Toad is a similar story but harder specials to avoid and faster, it’s a brutal fight. Heimdall most are familiar with now, but is harder than Cassie. Prowler with the power drain linked node is a bit of a nightmare, it makes a hard fight even harder.

Yes you should worry about Ares. If you’re 10 revives deep on Cassie that’s easily going to cost you 50+ revives on its own.

You say you’re too deep to turn back, but I’d estimate you’ll need 150 revives for that path if you’re using 10 on Cassie.

I can confirm that for Ares pay attention to his eyes and it tells you the special he is doing. It will flash once for sp1 and twice for sp2.

If he’s getting 30 revives every 20 days you’ll be waiting months

Bro can’t handle Cassie, he’s going to take every one of Ares’s specials to the face lol

I might be guessing just short of a year. I think he's severely underestimating Ares, even with the stacked furies.

Just for context, I mostly brute forced my way through ares on my first run and it look 30 revives. But I was also using a r3 7*. I understand why you’re going to continue, and I don’t blame you cause you’re so far in, but epoch of pain is supposed to be the most difficult content in game. Doing it with low rank champions and when you haven’t completed other, easier content will be a nightmare. Good luck with the rest.

    1. Don’t think any do but you get an attack boost from solo event daily.
    2. Toad is fairly difficult, bring a poison immune.
    3. Bring a poison immune.
    4. Shouldn’t need 10 for Prowler with Onslaught.
    5. You should be worried about Ares.

And frankly you shouldn’t need 10 for Cassie with Onslaught.

If you used 10 revives to get Cassie to 20% you are minimally spending 200 revives.....start over
