Better Damage Dealer?

Just deciding who to rank up for story and questing purposes only. I know they both have crazy damage but I’m wondering which one to take up.

I'd say CGR has the better damage, but silk has utility that I use more often. That special evade has saved me so many times, and being able to heavy stun is also great.

One is a nuke and one is not. It’s like comparing Juggs and Chavez.

He is far better Damage dealer, no contest at all. In terms of utility Silk can bring lot to table but as far nuke option is concerned, CGR is arguably in top5 in mcoc right now. With different rotations, his damage can be taken to certain levels if HP pools allows it.

DLL recently uploaded a vid explaining damage process, I'd recommend you watch that if you want to fully understand how damage is dealt in game. Long story short though, CGR has access to Vigor, damage is increased after diminishing returns and weakness process allowing it to scale higher than other champs damage would.
