2nd Best Mystic Defender?

Sassy/Rintrah are the opposite of Kindred, as they arent hard to fight but they have massive health and stall mechanics (for BGs)

Kindred on the other hand, although he can eat at your health if you dont play him properly, he has a very tiny healthpool and no tankiness

Sassy is good in both offense and defense but he could be easily encountered by Luke Cage, Sentry, Piggy, Silk and so on. And even skill mistakes happen when fighting against him, there is still place for remedies. He fits those nodes which can provide buffs to attacker or purify debuffs on himself much better.

Rintrah is a weak version of Sassy in defense in my opinion. He needs specific nodes to shine in defense, especially those which have restrictions of knocking down.

Kingdred is like 7* version of Mephisto. He has some utilities in offense while he is more deadly in defense. You can still counter him via Luke, Naferia, Mr. Negative or Piggy, even Jaggy. But there is little place for remedy if you couldn’t control his charges within a proper range. It needs much more concentration and exercise to defeat him. Or you may lost most of your health in his last root phase unless you have enough power or you get degen resistance or you place confusion on him. He fits most of nodes so that you can bring him in your bg team every season.

At last, when it comes to the cost of materials investing, Kindred > Sassy > Rintrah. Kindred needs high sig and Sassy needs duped at least while Rintrah could be used in defense even unawakened. Actually Rintrah doesn’t need high sig if you want to use him in offense sometimes(his power is uncontrollable when he is high sig).

The thing with Kindred is, if you mess up, it’s a 99 percent chance you lose the round.

Lets be real, nobody is struggling against a kindred or enchantress with a little matchup knowledge (thanks for the disagrees in advance). Sasquatch and Rintrah are STUPIDLY tanky, hard to nuke even with the best science options available, and in general with any attacker due to how big their healthpools are. They are not by any means difficult to fight, but often times you are forced to bait their specials which they throw on repeat, especially with mystic dispersion. Kindred and Enchantress are good against lower level players/players who refuse to read up on their abilities and find ways to counter (or if they just have really bad AI which we can’t escape), but Sasquatch and Rintrah have deviously large healthpools and resistances that are so annoying to go up against.

Oh believe me ive been preaching that Chavez isnt a dual threat for months. I said that as banter due to the comment having her in the top 4. I expected forum users to have a sense of humor (not targetting you but the people that mass disagreed)

I gotta say i agree with @kvirr And @ChaosMax1012 . If you can punish kindreds special (sp2 is very easy to punish, sp1 has a trick to punishing) and save a relic then you are golden. He would need additional nodes like root or something, but on his own he doesnt pose much threat to me

Most players disagreeing are likely thronebreaker and under so I understand why a defender like enchantress would seem impossible to them, and how America Chavez could beat on them due to them allowing her to push to unblockable special 2. But as they advance and master all these champs (for those capable), they will realize the truth in the end.

There is nothing about skill against enchantress. It's pure rng. Some of the spells are easier to manage and some are tough. Add some tough nodes and you got a nighmarish defender

Sasquatch isn’t too much on defense he’s just tanky. Rintrah CAN be handled but his specials take forever and is tanky as well. Sasquatch doesn’t necessarily need a counter to be taken down with. Rintrah can absolutely cook in defense against buff champs but isn’t the hardest, however he’s still above sassy. Kindred CAN be handled with the majority of champs usually he leaves you with some inevitable damage citing him as the second most difficult.One mistime from kindred and your absolutely finished, unless you are mr negs or ham.And no offense or anything but Chavez is not a dual threat in the slightest. Only thing she has really is mystic dispersion as nobody with skills is normally losing to her in defense ( normally, indicating with no crazy nodes boosting her defensive prowess)

I have find that Photon can be a great counter to Amora

Like @captain_rogers said enchantress with extra nodes added is probably the top defender of the mystic class.

However, if the nodes arent making a significant difference to the meta, then like @Jack2634 and @ChaosMax1012 then she is easily worse than sassy and rintrah on defense.

Off topic, but thoughts on Korgs value on defense in current day? Relative to the defenders mentioned here

Prowler cooks her! Has her power on lock. So do most nuke champs but i find him the most easy and straightforward.

Anyone can cook her with favourable rng. She'll take either lot of health, or stalls, or both, with unfavourable rng. She's like unduped domino in steroids.

High sig Kindred is on my potential ban list, Sassy and Rintrah is not. Kindred will be my 20th R3 Monday btw, when the T4 resets in BG store.

I got Sassy as R3 already, because he’s pretty awesome as attacker to. Kindred is my fav counter to Serpent and other cosmic defenders, he just shuts most of them off. Only negative, he’s not a nuke option.
