Who is best defender? Korg or Attuma

It's probably not the first time it's been asked but I haven't found anything.

Both have sig 80 and the question is to give r3 to one of them.

Mostly for AW and BGs defense.

Korg has more meters, attuma is a better option for now

With barely any nodes affecting his defensive prowess Korg is not difficult in the slightest usually unless you are a champ who relies on evade or dexterity ( stark spidey). Energy damage wrecks him, reducing his defensive ability accuracy wrecks him, and LIGHT attacks bypass his thorns, unless I’m mistaken. He’s really not that hard honestly although he is very tanky absurdly so with his shield on. Attuma on the other hand is horrible in general excepting a max sig dazzler and namor and non contacts and abs. He REQUIRES counters in order to not just be wrecked unlike Korg, who could even eventually be taken down with groot near full health. Without a counter you are taking a huge amount of thorns damage, still making him a menace. He even counters aa reduction making him way worse( I learnt the hard way with sinister once)than Korg who can succumb to this ability. When I think about it now, you could potentially get away with DOTthat should ignore korg’s shield. Overall, I’m sorry but Korg isn’t much of a defender anymore imo. Please correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t seem him as a threat anymore unlike attuma who is a serious threat.

I got a 140 sig R3 Korg, he gets me a lot of wins in BG. But, if they got Negasonic, both of them are pretty much useless.

I still can’t dex his sp1 tho…🥵

Attuma is probably the best defender of the two.

He's definitely the better Attacker.

He's not a 'dual threat' by any means, but if your opponents draws a counter in BGs, he's not completely useless for Attack, either. He's one of my favourite sneaky Red Skull counters.

He's also got that really unique AAR-inversion which comes in really handy against opponents like Red Skull or Adam Warlock (who reduce your Stun ability accuracy), and nodes like True Lies (which prevents most champions using their True Accuracy-type abilities, but Attuma completely ignores).

Just now the result are 25% Korg and 75% Attuma.

I was thinking on Attuma too but wanst sure.

Now i decided to rank Attuma and for now witg sig 80.

Korg is a champ that you can take comfortably with a hell of a lot of champions once you know how, whereas Attuma, unless you have something to counter his kit, you'll take some serious Thorns damage.

Yes but a lot of rpg elements to mess up.

can't dex multiple times, His sp1 can still catch you, can't reliably parry stun without a counter and cant use mediums, specials when rock stack is up

I’m much more scared of attuma than korg. Korg is doable with almost anyone, if you can Dex his specials. However, attuma requires specific counters and if I don’t have Onslaught, NTW, or Dazzler, I’m cooked

One forces a counter the others just be good at the game. I’d rather force them to draft a counter eating up a spot then hope they suck at fighting korg

Killmonger isn’t a joke. Sure there are a decent amount of champs with armor break around but when it comes down to it I’d much rather face a Korg than killmonger without a counter. I’ve seen killmonger in defense on stream do a lot of rebounded damage without a counter. Just because there are counters doesn’t mean you’ll always have them, calling killmonger a ‘joke’ is such an overstatement

Really don’t want to sound confrontational but there is literally no way to justify that Korg is a harder defender than attuma. One has virtually unavoidable thorns damage while the other guys weakness is LIGHT ATTACKS☠️☠️☠️

There are some champions I wouldn't recommend fighting him with. Someone with really bad light attack reach like Ronin is awful for him. Someone who places debuffs on every hit will also suffer, but generally it is true. You don't need a counter to beat korg and have 100% health, but you do need a counter for tuna man. Tuna man is also more annoying in a longer fight where you'll have to pay attention to his hydrations

I don't know about "best" as that can be situational depending on nodes and abilities, but I hate fighting Korg the most out of the two. I normally use Shuri or OG Storm to counter them. Shuri because she can still inflict crits on him, and block his unblockable specials. I can't dex that stupid Sp 1 for nothing. One day though!! 😂 When vs. Attuma, she can parry and attack without taking thorn damage. OG Storm because she can inflict a passive stun when they purify parry/stun debuff. She'll take some damage, but can still K.O him.

Here's my r4 4* OG Storm vs my r1 7* Attuma, and Shuri vs him.
