Enchantress as an attacker: Any good in fights that aren't long?

I recently got a 6* Enchantress and want to get the community's opinions regarding this. This has been discussed before and I concur with what seems to be the consensus: Because of the time needed to build up spells to add punch to her SP2, Enchantress as an attacker is better suited to longer fights. For shorter fights, she's mid at best. If anyone believes she can shine in shorter fights, can you please share why?

Got it. Thank you for the clarification. In my mind, a long fight is like using my 6R1 Enchantress against Winter Soldier in RoL to kick the tires after I'd just pulled her, which took at least 2 or more minutes. Or Labyrinth (though I've never buckled down to do it) where fights can apparently last 15-20 minutes. To me, 97 seconds isn't very long.

To me, a fight lasting 2 or more minutes is long (it currently takes me around 5 minutes to take down RoL Winter Soldier with my new 6R1 Enchantress). Of course, what constitutes a long fight can vary from person to person and fight to fight based on who the champs are, how they stack up against one another, etc.

Sure, 47k is not a perfect score in BG, but why do we meaure everything against some theoretical perfection? It was good enough even in a Celestial match, and would be good enough in a majority of lower tier matches.

For me, she seems like a fine attacker, the bigger issue is that she's a much better defender in BG, and there are much better options for quests.
But if we were forced to use her, and knew what we were doing, there wouldn't be too many complaints about it. She's not bad on offense at all.

Definitely. BGs is fun, but I don't do it much because I'm mostly ftp currently, so I don't have a solid feel for how long fights should take. I like Enchantress and would like to eventually use her in event quests and story quests, but (barring specific nodes and defenders where her utility shines) she doesn't seem as practical compared to champs who ramp up more quickly to get decent damage (eg, White Tiger and Mantis). I just wonder whether there's a threshold (6R2? 6R3?) where she gets at least in the same ballpark as a Mantis or a White Tiger in questing fights that take less than 2 minutes.

She should be decent but there are definitely faster options. She does have nullify, neutralize and atrophy, only mystic who has all three

She is like a Swiss army knife in the mystic class. Having all those options available makes her fun to play. Maybe making her ramp-up quicker would just make her overpowered. I don't know. Kabam seems to think so. They didn't do any balancing with her during their last review.

Nor do they want to make her even more BS on defense either, as she was primarily designed for defense other than those forms of content.

Since when Mantis was considered as defender?
Anyone above diamond tier in BG understands that Mantis must be pushed to sp2 or use specials when sleep timer is going to trigger.

Since when Mantis was considered as defender?

well sometimes you might get bad AI and she might throw a sp1. Doesn't always happen but can happen

I used enchantress once in the act 8 vtd boss - by accident and even worse it was a ‘crit me with your best shot’ it’s really not worth it and even worse I had to pause the screen multiple times to do the required actions for her 1000 spells

Mantis can be an ok defender sometimes but really as a last last resort defender. Very impactful against science champs i guess

Sorry to hear that. I'm just getting the hang of using Enchantress myself. I like her overall and she can crit pretty hard on SP2. However, yes, casting enough spells and keeping them is necessary for those sweet yellow numbers. I usually try to pile on the etherealness and levitate spells early on to prevent having to ramp her up again. This seems to work pretty well, but of course it's no guarantee against that.
