I don't blame people. There was no kate hype when the vote happened. Chi was worthy at that time. I was happy to got moleman in the rare pool. I didn't vote, I would have voted mole, why? as I believed kate was going to get nerfed/balanced for how op she was, the sp1s, even 1 sp2 was KOing most champs.

But. Look at the damn total votes.
7k people decided the outcome in a million users game.

Let's look at the Skill class (no 7*). I'm not going to do a "tier" list but I will omit the BAD skill champs like OG Daredevil, Moon Knight etc...

Aegon - Probably not coming as a 7*, but we say the skill class "sucks" because of BGs. He is not a BG champ
Agent Venom - Needs synergy to be good. Not a BG champ
Zemo - Could be a 7* and I would guess he will be. To be honest though, I haven't seen him in decks in at least 5 seasons now. BUT, a 7* Zemo would be a stable in most decks if he were available.
DD Hells Kitchen - We are getting him as a 7*, will never be used in BGs
Karnak - Could be a viable BGs champ, but forcing us to use Skill and Cosmic cats will make him sit at r1 for everyone who gets him except his die hard fans. Even then, he doesn't move the needle one bit
Kate - We messed this one up, but she is too OP to be a 7* IMO. Similar to Herc, Hulking etc... I don't think we will see her for awhile. I still bet Kabam laughs at us for picking Shang over her, no matter how good he is.
Kingpin - Probably the best candidate to get released. I do think he is OP (my opinion is that he would jump right back to the top of skill class as a 7*). Not to mention the tie in with the revival of the Netflix series that Disney will ruin for sure
Masacre - I know he is available, but he is probably the best Skill 7* attacker right now. He just needs to get added to the basic so more can get him
Nick - I may be the minority here, but with his best counters (save AA) as 7* already, I don't see the issue of adding him
Stealthy - Should have been added months ago as he is great, but not OP
Squirrel Girl - Maybe she will win the vote, so who knows what the rework would bring
Thor Rags- No one would use him, not a BGs champ
Valk - YES. She can still hang in most metas, but is usually about 10-15 seconds too slow

So looking as a whole, the arguable best BG Skill attack champs are locked as a 6* or hard to obtain (Masacre). Yet, every single great Skill defender is a 7*. It's not balanced like the other classes are.

I do know that my single biggest regret in this game is picking Starky 2x instead of Masacre for the CCP challenge selecetor.

What should happen - Valk or Kingpin would be added to the next Titan rotation and the other after, and Masacre would be added to the basic pool in April.

What will happen - Squirrel Girl will win the vote and we will see her released in November at the earliest and would go to the Titan or be a p2w champ. And even then, she will be a rupture based champ that is solid, but not great. Nick gets added to the Titan next rotation. Zemo gets added after Nick. Kingpin and Stealthy get added in early 2026. One of those 2 would be a track chase champ, the other gets Titan treatment.

Okay but endgame players don’t make up the majority of the players base. I distinctly remember that when that vote came out I didn’t know enough about Kate and wanted Shang to win out of the rest of the options. Obviously if I could go back I would pick Kate, but I wasn’t aware of what she could do at the time.

That's why I said not entirely true, some people were aware some weren't.

With the rate theyve been pumping out or buffing mutant champs, those skill defenders have lost their essence. Even bullseye has been getting a ton of more random counters. Skill was hard carried by its defenders but always had the least amount of staple attackers when compared to the other classes

Ngl I hate when people bring this up lol. Nobody knew how good she was at the time besides a very very select few players - most people thought she was mid at the time of the vote. We voted based on the information we had at that time, no need to be upset about that all this time later. She’s busted, woulda been sick but she likely would’ve been nerfed to the ground as a result.

I don’t even have a Twitter so I had no say in the matter, but I would’ve voted Shang Chi back then too. He is a phenomenal champ with both insane damage and utility, no one should be upset we added him to the game.

However, yea please Kabam just add Stealthy or even Kingpin or Nick Fury to the game already lol

She's great as a 6* but she can only go so high as an ascended 6*R5. 7*s can be r3, r4, and eventually r5 and r6 and even ascended.

I think they should just add buffs to the current skill class rather than introduce unknown characters. I’d like Karnak for example to receive a minor buff as he’s already alright but yeah the skill class in general isn’t that good. Also make mole man more available. Shame masacre is very rare he’s ridiculous .However the tech isn’t much better take away shocker arcade and prowler and we’re in the same boat as the skill class. Fingers crossed by mr knight however! The fact that they are releasing kingpin as a 6 star in the seven day event makes me think that’s it’s never happening any time soon sadly

I love all those champs.. and when I pulled a tech 3-4 it took me 3 days to decide haha.. I was torn up about it lol (don't have HB as a 7 so it was between the other 3)
