Curious what everyone thinks of the show so far

I don’t love the way they removed Foggy and Karen, and I SUPER don’t love the awful CGI used in the sequence with Matt in the suit.

Other than that, I really enjoyed it. The story is compelling, Charlie Cox continues to be incredible in the role, as do the other returning cast members. And the fight scene at the end of episode 2 (not in the costume) was exactly what Daredevil should be. I’m gonna spend more time complaining about the thing I don’t like, but I wanna be clear that the show is absolutely worth the watch.

My big knock is that they took away Foggy and Karen as characters that we knew and loved and filled their spots with new characters who were just… doing the exact same thing the old ones could have done. Like, the new partner is Foggy and the investigator is Karen. The character dynamic with Cherry (the investigator) is slightly tweaked, and I get that they wanted to put a new love interest in so Karen needed a reason to rotate out of that role, but with all the time that’s passed since then (and the fact that Matt had canonically gotten with She-Hulk in that time), it just feels like this was unnecessarily slamming the door shut on those characters when they could’ve been just kinda… moved off screen for later.

Well I think they confirmed Karen will be back in season 2. Ik a major development with this show is they filmed 6/18 episodes and had both of them killed off screen but started production over from scratch, they kept some footage but shot the opening to keep the door open for karen

I kind of wish less people knew about him. It ruined it a bit with almost everyone knowing.

Liked it. Kinda disappointed it looks like Hector's not getting a big role. Hopefully we can get a live-action Ava White Tiger, though.

Thing about white tiger is the actor died so he’s only in a few episodes. And according to set photos, he does get a resolution

Most of it was solid but that one take fight at the start of the first episode was rough

Think most flaws was a result of production issues. They shot 6/18 episodes then started over from scratch, they had a lot of footage but reshot the whole first episode and lowered total amount to 9 episodes

I don't like how they are handling the character of Vanessa. She feels completely different from the Netflix show. Vanessa would never try to one up Fisk and brag about how she runs the criminal empire better than him; she is cold, smart and a character who has lot more depth than just a girlboss character. One of the reasons why Kingpin is such a menacing character in the original show is due to the fact that Vanessa stands by him, supporting all his evil deeds. That couple therapy scene was honestly so hard to sit through.

Doesn't change the fact that this is the finished product that they're putting out and that fight scene was rough

Still the people rating this show a 2/10 or says that it ruins the character are just being ridiculous. It was never gonna top Netflix but if that was an 8/10, BA is roughly a 7/10 at least so far
And if anyone asks why I rate Netflix a 8/10 is because honestly season 2 is not that great after punisher arc, and having to watch defenders in between S2-S3 really sucks

To be honest the show wrapped up quite well. With so many reshoots initially, I was scared, but with the last episode out now Im glad it turned out good. I have a feeling season 2 will be pure greatness.

me: Gee, I hope they don't cut down the violence.
DDBA: Oh, hai, here's a guy getting his arm snapped, here's Matt leaping on a guy's leg, here's a guy getting headshot, here's a load of dirty cops getting their throats slit brutally. Wait til you see what Fisk does to the Commissioner's head!
    me: HOLY ****ING HELL!!!
DDBA: Wait, there's more! Here's Frank snapping a guy's arm, too!
me: *gibbers* WTF is the Punisher special presentation going to be like?!?!?!

If Danny, Luke, Jessica and Misty don't show up in season 2, I'm going to be hella disappointed. I'd love Pete to, as well, but I know that won't happen due to the deal with Sony...

Not bad overall. Hope season 2 is even better. The reshoots definitely hurt the show a bit. You could only watch episode 1 and 9 and read the rest on Wikipedia and still not feel like you missed out. They could have removed the entire Muse storyline and focus more on building up the story of Foggy getting killed a bit more till the final reveal in the finale

Finally was really good. I loved the team up and how brutal kingpin is finally allowed to be.

My only issue is that the show obviously wanted us to think frank was going to be killed but it fails because there's no way Bernthal would have come back to play punisher if they were going to just kill him off so that aspect of the finale fell flat for me a bit.

Also I hate Heather. Hot take i know

I want at bare minimum Luke and Jessica to show up.

Also, Spiderman during the city being set on fire and martial law being declared:

The finale overall was good, but I do have some issues with the frank stuff. The fact that every shocked blood spurt was cg took all the bite and impact out of the fights and it just looked ridiculous

I also think they really didn't do enough with the whole cops using his logo thing. He basically didn't even mention them using his logo and seemed more concerned with them not having dealt with the loss he's dealt with? Compared to the comic storyline it just felt like they were too afraid of offending actual cops which was only made worse by the fact that it wasn't even just corrupt cops it was specifically cops that were so bad kingpin basically told them they were allowed to go no body cam. Maybe it's just me but it felt hollow

Overall a good episode though, excited for season 2 but waiting to see how different it will be without the complete overhaul of the show

I did. Another reason why it was weird they were leaning so hard into trying to convince us they were going to kill frank
