I’m a little surprised the medium intercept announcement from @KabamDORK didn’t elicit any more outrage than it did. Unless I misunderstand, the announcement statement that “[t]his system has been in place essentially unchanged since the game’s launch” seems important. Whether the system has been responsible for “lost intercepts” since launch is unclear, but it seems that intercepts have been a recurring issue for as long as I’ve been playing. Often, intercept complaints have gotten the usual “post a video” or “git gud” or “your device is the issue” comments (from the community, not the team, as far as I can recall). What does this mean? Has it been an ongoing issue for a decade? Has it been off and on for a decade? Is it really a more recent phenomenon? I honestly do not know. It always seemed to me like the issue waxed and waned over time. What I do know is that calls for recompense aren’t out of bounds here, even if quantification of harm from a (potentially) years long bug is near impossible to calculate. However, dumping pots on players who have neither the time nor the inclination to use them seems like a poor solution. Assuming it gets fixed next update, discussing what and how much should be done seems to be a worthy discussion. Dr. Zola

As I said yesterday, I was losing intercepts to Ordeal Thanos when you HAVE to intercept that I should have been winning. Death touch, game over. Revive.@DrZola - why no bigger outrage? We all just accept it now. Me included. Don’t even know what compensation would look like. I mean, even if they give units, they can just devalue them by making unit costs even more…. “Here’s some units for the intercept bug… and now full July 4th offers will be 50,000 units. Totally unrelated of course (wink, wink)”
