So, Still No Actual Buff on BG Rewards?

It seems that the only buff of next season’s bg rewards is Light Essence and Dark Plume? And only Celestial guys can be rewarded Light Essence?
No new relic rank-up materials (even no new relics launched after 1/3 this year), no more crystal shards, no update on bg store. Now I could say even the worst side quest has more rewards than bg nowadays because you can acquire 2k titan shards directly instead of suffering in Gladiator Track.
What are Kabams doing? They are killing their roots of the game! They said “there will be some amazing changes coming in the future”, while I never thought pieces of LU could motivate me to climb more in bg.
They even refused to do the easiest thing to make everyone’s convince which is simply increasing the amount of shards, because they think it does hurt to the “game economy”. Unfortunately, it seems that the effort of youtubers who decide to expose the present situation is not enough and last announcement from Kabam saying “we heard you!” is a absolute joke.
What’s your thought of the so called buffed rewards? Would you like to climb more in Gladiator Track to get “1” Light Essence?

considering finishing in C5 gets you 1x Light essense...

kabam actually just showed us how they value C5 players...finnishing bg season in C5 is worth less than 10$

Absolutely disappointed if that’s the BUFFED BG reward kabam meant to be.
No real rewards like titan or 7 stars shards, No changes to the queue time that take most celestial players 10 mins, nothing but some pieces for future champs that probably would be mid like isophen.
Seriously who cares about those pieces anyways? And even though we do, only C5 and higher players get that, which are about like 113 spots there, that means 99.9% players have NOTHING changed for their BG rewards, and even u get to C5(C6 have no pieces at all lmao), u only get ONE extra piece as C5 player , compared to the playes who JUST get in to GC, and u can spend on a weekly deal to get the piece, what a joke.
Do something kabam, I love this game with battlegrounds, do something about actual rewards, BG is about to DIE

The fact that anyone expected a rewards buff this season after they acknowledged it is mind blowing to me. Did you really expect them to roll out a rewards buff in less than a week? Get real.

Rewards will be buffed for season 28.

The difference between then and now is Kabam did not confirm or really even acknowledge buffed BG rewards. They just did a week ago and to expect them immediately is unrealistic.

Now, if season 28 comes and goes with no rewards buff, then yeah, we call all whine and complain.

I can’t predict the future, and I choose to live in the moment.
You’re partially right, so we still have another week(pre-season week) to wait for reward buffing before new season starting. Two weeks should be enough.

You guys have had time to mess with the point system but not introduce bugged rewards?

You lied to us, you told us you were working on BG in back ground we just weren't being kept in the loop but there is no chance that you have been working on rewards and don't release them the next season. So now we have to wait another month before we see anything

Season 27, the last 18 out of 27 seasons with no update Kabam. That is unacceptable in every way

As has been said, Season 27 was too soon to implement the changes Dork mentioned. I made sure to include a link to Dork's post at the beginning of the forum version of the Season 27 announcement so that folks know we're not ignoring it, it is a top issue, but that the full information was not yet ready to share. As Dork said, Crashed will have a more thorough and detailed walkthrough of what's to come in the future. We want BG to continue and thrive just as much as y'all, more on this to come.

I am not trying to sound sarcastic, telling us season 27 was too soon on an issue that has been happening for at least 12 months is probably not the best take on this. It only shows that there was no consideration on updating rewards until recently

Too soon in the sense that it was just after Dork's update on the subject and before we are ready to share more details, not that it is something that has only just been thought about. I acknowledge my wording on that could have been clearer though.

This right here is prime example number one on why kabam can not with in this community. Yall ask for transparency. They give it to you. Then you don't like the answer they give. What can they do? Let's say they update rewards for season 28, not to mention eq/sq rewards. There's still other areas needing updated. By the time those are updated, it'll be time to update BGs again. At least, according to the community. I just hope yall realize that keeping that pace is just gonna make r5s, r6s, 8* etc show up that much faster and kabam has told us they don't want to rush through 7* too fast.

Maybe they should have announced it on 1st week of season 27?... Hey I really don't care personally. The problem is the people that were expecting the change by next season.
There is a bit of difference between transparency and putting out fires though.
I don't believe in coincidences, content creators showing discontent along with some whales, making the discontent contagious, lots of negative feedback on the forums. Douse the fire with a promise of change, and then people find out the change is not the next season; but 2-3 months from now.

What's the assumption here? That everyone who complains about BG rewards will just magically become a Celestial player as long as they have enough incentive?
You realize it's not like completing a quest, right? It's a curve.
If someone isn't a Celestial player currently with the outdated rewards, don't you think it'll be even more difficult if they upgrade the rewards and entice even more competition for those limited Celestial spots?

Its not just about anticipation. There is one sale event before and one after. Chances are the changes feel outdated in a very short time.

As for the changes in points,
The one and ONLY change in scoring they should be making, is, granting the win to the player who WINS the match, if the opponent doesn't. This is expected from any VS game, and it is actually happening in EVERY VS game except for MCOC! Giving more points to time duration is the exact opposite direction!

That's usually the case anyways. 2 maybe 3 months and then whatever changes were made need changing again but then they take another year to circle back around to another update. It's why eq/sq and various stores have almost no charges and any that have felt paltry.

I am willing to bet a significant amount of money that it’s later than season 28, I would specifically bet on season 30 for 2 reasons. 1) kabam will make a big deal of it being season 30, 2) it will align nicely w July 4th sales to get people to spend (“hey look we listened to the community”)

I DARE kabam to prove me wrong and release it before season 30. You won’t because you know whatever rewards buff you have planned for will pale in comparison into the deals you SELL for July 4th. But I am DARING YOU to prove me wrong
