Jean Grey, Great damage but...

I find it very disappointing she doesn't counter evade. Emma frost and Prof X both counter due to telekinesis but Jean is Omega level and doesn't counter evade. At least I didn't see it in the description. Her damage is sickening but she seems to lack any utility.

    She seems geared at being a defender more than attacker especially with the random reverse controls - so utility isn't necessary I guess.

    Reverse controls is literally all she has as a defender, and it's pretty easy to play around because you have that pink glow on you. And if you have a reverse control immune champ like Jack, then she becomes a total zero as a defender.

    As an attacker though, she's great. Some BG fights (where I had forgotten to even give her a relic) and EoP fights:

    She definitely has damage (and that IS a utility) but I think OP was more interested in several other pieces of utility. And yes I forgot she coutnes miss.

    When Is ay as a defender I see her being more relevant in BGs where RNG can prevent you from having a counter like Jack available. In AW you can plan.

    She can also parry stun skill champs like Storm X with her sig ability. I mean champs that would cleanse or disable the parry stun debuff...

    The idea of coherence doesn't exist outside of the playerbase. People get mad when characters with similar power sets get added and then complain when champions don't have the same abilities just because lmao. I don't get why she needs evade counter when her target matchups don't evade

    There is no problem with that at all, she counters miss instead, you it where you can.

    None that you would normally face in BG or AW.
    It's probably mostly useful when a node applies falter/miss, or if you're facing the couple of regular BG defenders who have that ability in their kits (Ebony Maw, Prowler).

    It doesn't have to be skill champs specifically, there's other champions, nodes and metas where a miss counter would cook.

    Yh okay.
    Anyways...back to the topic of discussion.

    Skill, isn't the only class in the game and her miss counter is applicable elsewhere as miss is a very great piece of utility to have so is evade, autoblock counter, slow etc.

    They rarely make a champ that counters everything.
    She already counters a lot of stuff skill champs do, like thorns and cleanse and AAR and crit damage.
    The miss counter isn't even a main ability of hers, it's just an extension of the neuroshock damage.
    She doesn't have access to pursuit like Dazzler and Bastion, but I bet if I did that Bullseye fight again I could finish close to 100% if I had a relic and picked a defensive stat focus tailored to that fight.

    They both had the same early access bundle offers, just like every new champ, it's just that Bastion also has a webstore milestone tracker that guarantees a 7* if you spend $500.
    A lot of people spend $500 on early access bundles and wind up not even getting a 7* version.

    She's a Miss counter (via neuroshock) so it would be a lot to have her counter both evade and miss. So she has coherence with Onslaught essentially.

    I also think her shield is underrated. Ignore thorns, and essentially can handle the occasional DoT of any type.
    Serpent does counter both
