Is Okoye Worth a Generic AG?

Just pulled her out of a titan nexus and wanted to know if she’s worth awakening. Got a 7 star generic from epoch

I almost used my generic AG on her but then held off and awakened her from my next Titan a couple of weeks later...
I think it also depends on whether you have any champs you want to awaken that are not in any current crystals, like Sinister....
I'm holding my skill AG should I use it on her? Got every other good skill champ duped but idk I can't help myself lol. Is the dupe benefit too good?
Btw use your generic on sinister he's not hitting the crystals for a while..
The damage might be a bit bugged at the moment; but it seems good rather than exceptional.
Comparing her to an old champion like Elsa, they're both high-damage champions who can counter Evade. And Okoye's damage is definitely inferior, Unawakened.
Elsa also has an Evade-on-block 'opening mechanic', she can shut down the opponent's Evades almost as well as Okoye can, has a better debuff shrug-off, and degenerates/Heal blocks the opponent if she's bleeding. And there are no opponents immune to Busted debuffs, and very few immune to both Incinerate and Coldsnap (far fewer than Bleed/Shock).
Okoye's Sig will make her better, but it largely seems to counter her own weaknesses (Mystic Dispersion, and Masteries that would reduce her Shock/Bleed damage).
So... Am I missing something? Or is Okoye a little overhyped?
Her extra hits run up the combo and adds some other perks like "whiffing" a light. The CPU runs in and gets lit up with the 2nd hit.
And okoye evade control is superior. Elsa is a avery unreliable evade counter imo cuz the opponent have to evade at least once first so that she can inflict coldsnap. In most cases this is definite death and very risky.
Okoye is one of the best skill champs released in a while. Her playstyle is extremely simple for a 2025 champ. Just do normal 5 hit combos untila a big sp2 and boom. Opponent melts down in seconds. Okoye also takes better advantage of despair and inequity masteries. And 1 dex, now opponent cannot evade for 18 seconds. And ensare also reduce offensive AAR by 30% which is unreliable but sometimes fail annoying abilities, like hulking pierce on hitting your block, or titty haymaker.
How many relevant defenders are immune to both/can't be Inflicted one of the debuffs, barring mutants? Korg and thing are the two I can think of. If opponent is immune to one of the debuffs that's really where the fun begins, You can easily inflict twice the amount of other debuff, providing almost similar dps.
Busted debuffs, lol.
That seems absurd to me....
And it really is.
I sure Okoye's DPS is there once she's Awakened, at max Deep Wounds, though.
I mean, Okoye's clearly a good champion.
I'm not saying she's bad, at all: she's good. Her damage is good. The Ensnared debuff is good - yes, it's a little safer than Elsa's Coldsnap, although careful gameplay can generally make that a pretty safe option. And as you describe, Okoye's simplicity is actually really, really appealing.
But I do think that, at least until she's Awakened, she's not necessarily a champion on a whole new level - unless perhaps you're 100% focused on Battlegrounds. And if you are, is she the champion you give your generic 7* Gem to? Or do you give it to Serpent/Sasquatch/Dazzler/Enchantress?
I'm just suggesting that a generic Awakening Gem, and 2 ranks in Deep Wounds (if you don't already run it) is a heck of an investment in one champion, that's all.
