So I've been playing for a while, I only say that to preface where I'm coming from....
Over the years, particularly the early years, I've spent resources on ranking up the wrong champs according to my likes and dislikes, in the first few years of MCOC, I did like most and followed the community based off their description and reasons on why a champ is good for rank up, a lot of those guys are now CCPs....but the last few years I've become skeptical on what they are pushing, from passive push to spend, you know who you are, to preferences and opinions that they have, which the say in their vids and the general state of the game.
I don't have issues with the paywall, I spend where I want to spend and technical issues get addressed eventually, slowly but surely and I generally enjoy this game as a hobby, so no complaining or threatening to quit by me.
That said, as a regular player who is focused on end-game now and not chasing Alliance tiers and levels etc etc, AQ/AW is not what I look for anymore, I get to reset my processes on who to rank for what reason. I rank based off who I enjoy playing with a side-eye on possible new content requirements.
I just wanted to say in my "long-winded" way haha, its so easy to say "who I will def r4" when I "don't have" the resources yet...but now that I "have those resources"...I'm not so quick to pull the trigger....thus...
