How do we feel about the new forum buttons?

I don’t know when they did this but there’s now an “Off Topic” reaction, as well as a “Dislike” reaction.

I like that they provide a little more context as opposed to just “Disagree,” but I also think I’m not a fan of how many buttons there are now.

The extra detail is nice I guess, but it's super unnecessary. All they did was add two more negative options for us to inflict on each other. Not sure what the goal is, if there is one.

Controversial opinion I think kabam should take away all negative buttons. They're only used by trolls anyways

Off-topic seems to be the new disagree.

Haha, makes sense.
But then again, it splits the troll vote into off topic or disagree. Maybe they'll have a meeting in one of their basements and agree on a unanimous choice.

Other than the placement of “off-topic” now pushing out all the others.
All set to give someone an “insightful”, and end up pressing on “off-topic” instead.

As for post here, someone else already brought this up before you, and even had Kabam Dork chime in and comment on the change (they're testing it out to see how it goes).

Interesting how someone (one of the “he who shall not be named”) already racked up many of them from comments made well before this change even took place (comments from last month, and even one from January). So not just ironically like at top here (which was gonna of course get a bunch).

i think they should take out off topic and disagree.

off topic is the worst if used in bad faith because it's dismissive and the person is basically saying "this post shouldn't even exist" without ever having to lift a finger or prove anything. off topic says "don't even look at this post".

and disagree was always a little passive aggressive. at least with dislike they're upfront about it.

I only use disagree when I actually disagree with what the poster said.

It'll be a change of pace for the forum's usual suspects to get Dislike and Off-Topic instead of strictly Disagree
