It’s a real shame, she was my second 7* R3 after Hulk and the one that made me Valiant. She was one of if not my most used champions only a year or so ago i mean what happened?
We’ve had quite a lot of really solid mystics recently, both in terms of new champions and additions to the 7* pool. Tanky defenders with energy and crit resistance are coming back (look at Sentinel and Zola just to name a couple). In terms of serpent counters she’s no longer number 1 and I guess she just struggles to keep up with the truly amazing attackers we’ve seen added to both the game and the 7* pool recently.
No real point to this thread other than to say this, does anyone else stand by her or is the time of Chavez over? Also what other 7* champions from the base pool have suffered “fall offs” over the course of the couple of years that 7*s have been with us?

It was gonna be said sooner or later.
She's one of my most wanted 7 stars still, I still use the 6star. I just don't see her talked much about anymore or see her getting used much.
I'd argue kushala is the better mystic now but chavez is still my favorite. Maybe im biased cos I used kushala alot in 9.2 where you ALWAYS needed nullify champs.
It was very surprising how she wasn't the go to r4 option for alot of the mystics.
I wouldn't exactly say she's fallen off but I'd put kushala above her now a few months ago it would have been her over kushala.
Also, she's still the most obvious choice for serpent in battlegrounds, how many people run spiral? If I get a Serpent, first thing on my mind is to draft chavez (even if its the 6star).
I also do agree that she struggles to keep up with the recent battlegrounds attackers we've gotten but she does good enough, she pops off with cosmics and does good enough with there are no buffs.
And finally, she can easily come back all she needs is an endgame quest (like epoch) where she meets the requirements of a few fights and best believe everyone will be singing her praises again.
Regarding r4s specifically, I don’t feel like I’ve seen a lot of mystics, period. Some Kushalas, a handful of Shathras. But not many compared to the other classes.
I'd rather invest in a number 2 option which can take 15 more fights than a number 1 option which can take 3 more fights (those 3 fights being maestro, Hyperion and sersi).
Obviously an exaggeration but people aren't gonna remove chavez from their decks for spiral lmao.
we've got a bunch of extra nodes that are messing with her: steady perseverance, obstinate charge, stun immunity, rage, and safeguard.
She's getting juggernaut treatment, one debuff on him and he starts to cry but outside of that, both of them are top, just not r4 worthy yet because there are much better heroes in other classes and because getting to multiple r4 isn't very easy currently.
She has nice utility, very good damage and still a overall top mystic, she can do some matchups better than kushala and vice versa. Every comment here that said chavez is falling off or not that good in war anymore makes 0 sense.
The opposite of the "powercreep" on her will happen to Tigra when shes in the 7* pool because she works for a ton of the matchups chavez doesn't work in, but also does the matchups she does much quicker
I'm pretty sure spiral is not faster than Chavez outside serpent matchups.
She is still goated people just ranked other because of prestige or high bg dual threat like onslaught + Thanos + photon
Mystic class I have seen mainly R4 shathra because of prestige
But you honestly just have to be terrible to think she's lost anything.
