The post solution to this vicious cycle of “bugs” is really simple. Players used resources for these champs trusting the product and due diligence of Kabam MCoC to provide a game to work as intended. It’s only right to suck it up and get rankdown tickets, return Signature Stones and Awakening gems, etc.
The debate that a champ is still great doesn’t need to be pushed my way or to any other player. The potential criticism on stating rankdown tickets and return other items usually follows a post in support of it.
The product was defective so fix it and do the right thing by returning items back to players. If they still want those champs at R4 - so be it their choice knowing the truth now. If they want to drop that champ to R3 or invest in another champ again let them have that choice. Its not the players fault that the game is simply defective in the bug regard which help influence players to invest thinking the game is working as intended.
It’s crazy to think how after all this time from trials and errors with design issues it can’t be prevented before release to the community when it goes live. The dilemma to do the right thing like rankdown tickets or return items when champs are bugged should be no surprise.
My R4 Sinister is a candidate to just go to R3 and I invest in another champ for R4. I would want an opportunity to use him after the Vicious Bug is fixed. Purpose is to see if he is still good enough for me to keep at R4 or do what my gut tells me - drop him to R3 and move on. Definitely not happy about the recent news on this matter but waiting to see what Kabam response is to this madness. Ne positive and optimistic 😂

You've had months and months of gameplay and usage with Mr Sinister after his buff. You have no excuse to lean on for this if you ranked him because of this bug. Anyone who ranked him because of the bug should get nothing. It's not like he was released this month.
Such a silly comment and you’re missing the entire point, people have ranked Sinister up since his bug not knowing he was bugged, it’s only been this way since the start of April, if people have ranked him due to seeing the damage he was producing they should be entitled, not sure the point you’re missing
I'm not missing any point. If you choose it ignore everything before April, that's on you. Did you just start playing the game in April?
Mate, no one knew he was bugged at the start of April, we are only aware since the recent post, I don’t understand your comment, players have ranked a champion who is bugged, players have ranked a champion due to their damage output, now that is being nerfed due to a “BUG” we weren’t aware of, let me assume you have none of these champions ranked up hence why you see no issue here 😂
Except in this case sinister has been buffed for damn near a whole year so all of a sudden he's going way too much damage, people see that and rank him?
He’s been bugged since the last update, where do you get a year from?
Sinister was buffed long before the last update genius. That's what your missing. Do you know the difference between buffed and bugged?
I see who you had to edit your spelling mistake, well done I guess you’re not a genius either, so I misread he said bugged instead of buffed, which again is an irrelevant comment, what has being buffed got to do with this situation 😂
Because all you people are acting like he was garbage before this last update. He wasn't. Your just taking advantage of the bugged making him do ridiculous damage atm. You keep glossing over the fact that he will still be a top mutant after the bug gets fixed and that somehow he's not deserving or being ranked up.
Once again another irrelevant reply, absolutely nothing to do with the capabilities of the champion before he was bugged, it’s those who decided to rank him up due to what he was producing which was incorrect which was unknown to players, effectively being mislead, let me know if any of your R4 champions are being nerfed and you can get back to me
Also he may well still be deserving of a R4 but that’s solely down to the player to make that decision after he is fixed
Anyone playing longer enough to know sinister was buffed long before this bug knows full well they are taking advantage of a bug by ranking him in the last 30 days. They deserve nothing in return and more to the point, SINISTER WILL STILL BE A TOP MUTANT AFTER THE FIX. Clear enough for you?
😂😂😂😂, how can players know they are taking advantage of a bug when it was completely unknown, you’re lack of understanding is ridiculous, anyway, I hope you have a nice day

It's called common sense. Which you seem to be lacking in regards to understanding that people absolutely do this sort of thing every single time. This situation is no different to the moleman situation a couple years ago.
Whatever damage you're getting with the vicious degen now, divide by half then multiply by 1.3. So if you're getting 20k vicious degen ticks, it should be 13k with the correct 30% vicious.
That's a pretty significant difference. I guess that sinister at R4 would still be halfway decent on defense but it really takes down his offensive value. Not saying I would expect them to do anything but I would most definitely rank him down and rank someone else if they offered it as an option due to this mistake.
I R4'd him today and have no regrets; but obviously I understand if others feel differently. In my opinion this would take him from "insanely broken" to "merely one of the best." But yeah, if someone R4'd him over like Onslaught or Jean based on this vicious bug, then I understand being upset. I think he probably needs to be awakened and close to max sig to justify an R4 over those two if the vicious gets fixed.
When KT made his video, we had no idea when or how long this had been going on, so like so many other players, I assumed it had been going on since his initial update, and on top of losing damage from the inequity mastery, he was going to lose another 35% of his damage, but given that it has only been going on for three weeks, I'm not too concerned.

Mr Sinister: Charging a Heavy Attack for 1 sec grants a Vicious passive increasing the potency of damaging debuffs by 30% for 8 seconds. Meaning he will be doing 70% less damage.

This isn't a case of a new champ that was just released and no one had any idea of how the champ is supposed to perform. Sinister was re-worked a year ago nearly via the buff program. There's so many videos and posts about how he performs since his re-work. We have a history of how this champ performs. So again, unless you are brand new to the game and have never heard nor used Sinister in any capacity and somehow saw this and somehow were in the position to give him an AG and rank him up since 50.0 came out, then it's 100% on you to know he's doing more damage than before and it's a bug.
At some point in life, you just have to accept you've made a mistake and stop blaming others.

R4 sinister and gameplay videos weren’t so common until fairly recently. Someone on forum recently posted a video/screenshot of r4 sinister doing 40k damage per tick. For someone who doesn’t sit down with a calculator to see if that is bugged or not, it may be misleading if they did not know it was bugged. While I do agree with your take that sinister was still good before the bug, I can also understand that people may have ranked him up due to inadequate information.

How widespread is ranking a champion only because there exists R4 videos?
Personally, I don’t min-max my damage output and don’t pay any attention to what the damage number increases at each rank; I just assume higher ranks = higher damage. I don’t watch videos about how great a champion is at R3/R4 because I know that if I like a champion at R1/R2, they will do more damage at higher ranks without any difference in gameplay. I may be in the minority, but I would gamble that my approach is actually in the majority.

Mate, no one knew he was bugged at the start of April, we are only aware since the recent post, I don’t understand your comment, players have ranked a champion who is bugged, players have ranked a champion due to their damage output, now that is being nerfed due to a “BUG” we weren’t aware of, let me assume you have none of these champions ranked up hence why you see no issue here 😂
Did you rank Sinister from 1 to 4 all in April? Is April the first time you've heard, played or seen Sinister in the game? How extensively did you use Sinister in April and before?
Didn’t say it was a widespread majority. All I am saying is that there maybe people who ranked sinister purely based on videos of bugged damage. Saying they did it to exploit a bug or they are idiots to not know better may be a bit harsh.

Exactly what I’ve been trying to explain as this is my exact circumstance
When KT made his video, we had no idea when or how long this had been going on, so like so many other players, I assumed it had been going on since his initial update, and on top of losing damage from the inequity mastery, he was going to lose another 35% of his damage, but given that it has only been going on for three weeks, I'm not too concerned.
Almost like this is a lesson about not getting mad before we know more information or something

At some point in life, you just have to accept you've made a mistake and stop blaming others.

Not sure how you could not noticed if you use sinister on a regular basis
