I wouldn't mind dark phoenix as a trophy champ, last milestone in a spending event... If there was a cosmic champ similar to the others in the 7 star selection. I think that would have reduced a bit of the negativity.
It does not matter what Kabam does, some in this community are never satisfied. They always have such unrealistic expectations and then complain when those are not met.
1) i agree, was hoping for luck to get her since she looks cool because i’m most likely not gonna have enough units to get her (probably) and the next time i’ll get a chance is in a years time. Unless she doesn’t enter the basic because crashed said she is considered a trophy champ
2) game has always been rng. I’ve never expected the lock box thing to happen all the time.
3) they hinted at magik, and lets be honest they’ve already said they’d never put her as a higher rarity because she was busted. So when they hinted at her coming to radiance in the radiance post, i think it was fairly obvious that she wouldn’t come back without some significant changes.
4) yeah
5) it’s a trial period. There can always be improvements made to any gamemode. Personally i would have loved to see a change in EQ since that one is just boring and stale to me

They announced valiant EQ, updates to SQ are being worked on, new champs look great, buffs are on the way, radiance is great and has amazing rewards, Magik was too strong to be released as a 7* so they’ve compromised and promised to make her great but not busted, the AW thing is just a test, and the heart of fire has some great champs
I’m also convinced no one has touched another gacha game or played any game outside mcoc. Unit grinds are easier than ever right now and 36k isn’t an unfair price. Most F2P players can grind this out pretty fast. Kabam making it unit based is huge and there is a selector to get your favorite
What’s the issue here? I’m genuinely so confused how a community can be so incredibly negative about literally anything kabam does. They do something great? Nah it’s still bad and Kabam bad and the game team is bad. I’ve always called Kabam out when they do silly things and I have numerous posts that critique the state of the game but even when they turn it around and are open people are still mad
That’s all I gotta say, y’all are so annoying and then have the nerve to act condescending about it as well
I don't agree abt getting 36k units is easy for ftp players Literally if u play even every arena in a month and every lower Monthly Eq the maximum units u can get is 8k-7k
To grind 36k units a ftp player atleast need 4-5 month of grind continously without missing any arena
Saying that getting 36k is easy for ftp players doesn't make any sense
Event like this are made for whales & spenders not for Ftp

Couldn’t agree more and I’m definitely not ftp.
But at the same time, I think it’s silly and unhealthy for most players to look at these events and feel like they’re missing out if they don’t spend the max. If you walk onto the Toyota lot and you’ve got Corolla money, you shouldn’t get upset because they’re also selling Land Cruisers.

In what galaxy are 36k units "pretty fast" to grind? Even if you decide not to have a life, that takes many months
I'm very happy with the livestream. I think there were a lot of cool stuff that was shared.
One thing, though: I really wished that there was more of a time frame for when these "non-traditionally released champions" would enter the basic pool. I'm okay with it being a year from now if that's the case, but as someone who simply won't be able to reach the final milestone, I just hate not knowing what the plans are going forward. Going into events such as these when you know that you won't be able to pick up at least most of the new champs leaves a sort of weird and unpleasant feeling.
As I said, I'm perfectly okay with there being a substantial chunk of time between the HOF champs being introduced next month and them being released into the basic pool, but I just find it a little discouraging to not know when we non-whales can catch up. When it comes to resources, there's usually just a few months between when the big-spenders get their first, say, r4 champion and when we could earn them ourselves, so I don't really care about Kabam putting down a timeline for when those'll roll out. But rare champions are different in the sense that you can't really "earn" them anywhere as time goes on. As such, it's much harder to adopt a reassuring "Oh, well, I'll get them eventually anyway" mentality.
That being said, I do think that all of these champions entering the game as 7*s are a whole lot of net positive for the game. I'm really excited to be able to pick them up for myself, whenever that may be.
I'm a whole lot less excited about having to chip down the health of r4 Nick Furys in Battleground, though.

Don't forget 900 units a month from the daily event, and a nice amount from the gold track. But yes, I agree, saying 36k units is easy for ftp players to grind is either dumb or a troll comment. It is possible, yes, but by no means easy.

Even if u include all those units the maximum output of units per month still remain at around 8-9k
I have included all units a player can get including arena crystals rng too
36k units require atleast 4-5 month of grind even if u have good rng
In old days Kabam most deals Like j4/cyberweek and unit event like banquet require players to spend 18-21k maximum units From those amt of units a player could get literally every deal of event or achieve every milestone of banquet
But last 2 years Kabam became more money hungry by depreciating unit value in every deals and unit oriented events upto 36k and more
Well this is nothing new and this stream has also followed similar trends of last few streams of money hungry events and exclusive champs that require to spend u money If u want to competitive in higher Bg and wars

This especially leaves a bad taste in your mouth considering Radiance was just announced/implemented as a late-game ressource that allows you to buy end-game stuff, and 2/3 sources are PVP content with BG and AW. In my opinion, these Trophy Champs should be banned from those modes entirely [Or be bad enough that they are just cool to have like Kang or Thanos used to be]
I can live with my BG opponent having more R3s and R4s than me if they are from the pool that is available to everyone, I can still use my skill to beat that. But when they have champs that require you to spend 1.200 Dollars worth of units like Dark Phoenix, it isn't really a matter about skill anymore.

Even BeroMan spent like $800 during the Red Guardian sale, so the pressure is real. If one of the handful of top BG players feels the need to whale out to stay competitive, what are lesser skilled and less roster-heavy players supposed to do? It's a real concern I think.
Genuine question as I didn’t watch the stream today. Did they actually say the milestone cost is going to be the same as Omega Days? Or are you all just making that assumption?

Crashed said verbatim during the livestream that it would be the same unit cost
With only 5 heroes in the crystal, bad luck will be far more punishing and good luck will be less beneficial.
I'm just going to point to this one comment as representative of my general feelings here.
Fewer champs in the crystal means bad luck gets worse and good luck also gets worse.
Why are some people angry at the stream? The fact that people are willing to assert stuff like this with confidence is a huge part of the reason why.
This makes perfect sense. Does he need to type it slower for you so that you understand? Explain what you're missing and I'll explain it too you like you're 5. He's stating that generally speaking the average floor and the average ceiling are both worse with less limited champions in the crystal.

Perfect, thanks! Guess I’ll be waiting until the next time DP comes around, far too pricey, especially only a week after the previous spending event
His first point doesn’t even make sense cause now you have a better chance of getting the good champs and you can get her guaranteed with enough units. This is much better than the omega days pool already and there is a selector
It’s not “shady” and despite this being a gacha game Kabam is very generous with the stuff they let players use units for compared to like 99% of other games
No, I think you need a math class. Everything he said makes sense. All the points obviously went over your head. Maybe sit this conversation out.
Im sorry 1/5 or 20% is better than 1/6 16.67% you need to learn math this isnt golf
1. Dark Pheonix - You are putting an untested champion as the final 'powerful" champion, which is questionable, but could be fine. What's definitely not fine is that you've removed the cosmic champion from the crystal in order for her to be final milestone. Having less new champs in this crystal means its overall value is significantly lower than the omega days crystal. Not only that, but a year later the 7 star basic pool has much less value for most people than it did prior. Also, locking a "potent defender" behind 36k units doesn't sit well for obvious reasons. That's all very shady if you're keeping the price the same as last year, and will compound problem 2.
2. RNG insanity - I and many others were under the impression that the box gotcha system was aimed at doing away with the pain points involved in spending 36k units on RNG crystals, but you decided to take the less fair option. Everyone is going to love their 5 Apocalypse dupes, just like they loved their Sandman dupes. With only 5 heroes in the crystal, bad luck will be far more punishing and good luck will be less beneficial.
3. Magik Nerf - You say you're putting Magik in the game, then you bait and switch by announcing it's a nerfed version that will be added next year?
4. Twitch drops Bugged Again
5. War "Thing" - A lot of players consider war the only game mode that doesn't need a major change, and would rather you focus in other areas of the game. After raids being so unpopular people are apprehensive about a war change.
I'm trying to stay positive and open minded, but this being the livestream that follows a soft boycott might indicate what level of trust we should have in the game team.
Most people thought it be a box but there always said it be similar to omega days so that’s was just a cystal.

These 5 champions are to good for a gacha box
Doesnt mean it should be 36k units. Thats an absurd cost, and that amount of units in july 4 or cyber gets you a truckload more than an RNG shot at champs that could be several ibom or apoc dupes. It shouldve just been boxes

They specifically said this is going to be a omega days type event to get us to spend our units we got from spring cleaning they never once said the gacha box system was going to be for every champion aqusition event if you were under the impression that that was going to be the case that is a you problem not kabam also these 5 champions are to good to be in a gacha box system they specifically said there was going to be many different ways to aquire champions they were working on and have released such as this kind of event the gacha box system and through spending 400+ dollars in the webstore track for some champions also the feature crystal system they are going to implement wirh the forgiveness system guaranteeing a 7* after so many crystals and a featured 7* abd featured 7* after so many crystals purchased

Only the secret codes are Impossible to get
Thanks Kabam 🥳

There is a huge correlation between anger and stupidity.

But when they have champs that require you to spend 1.200 Dollars worth of units like Dark Phoenix, it isn't really a matter about skill anymore.
but can’t fix the potion for the old war after 18 months
Btw, the new game mode is slapping face of those players invested resources in upgrading 2-3 7r4 defenders
Guess I’ll be waiting until the next time DP comes around, far too pricey, especially only a week after the previous spending event
