C'mon that's Bullsh*t

I'm a f2p player and I dont spend a third of my life in the arena so my unit aquirement isnt the highest but I've managed to get around 6k, leading up to this event. And there not even giving us access to the new champ, instead pitting her and the dupe behind 38k units. 38k is riduclus. UNits arent easy to come by and getting a crystal is sick, and reaslizing that the new and exclisive champ is locked behind a 1000 dollar paywall if you convert bought units to money. Techincally its 1200, but lets assume you had around 8k saved up (which is a lot). Im just pissed off. And dont even get me started on alliance war change, as a masters player this infuriates me to no end. Topic for a different post.
Overall kabam has had a string of W's in the past few months but this is really bad. As if they p2w nature of this event isnt enough, at least there was a chance to get lucky, but now you legit just need to spend what you want. It's greedy, and I know people say that about kabam all the time when they release hard content, but at most your draining 1k units for something hard like that. Here its just straight payment.
Those are my thoughts about this, feel free to share yours.

The war change is a bit mehh
Got it.
Summary: you can get almost 9k units a year for doing almost nothing. You can get over 70k units a year for playing the game moderately. An F2P player can get almost 80k units per year spending less time playing than the average person spends watching TV.
2. You're complaining about the highest reward in that particular event. A reward that will eventually be in the regular crystals for everyone to get. And you expect to get that reward with an amount of units most active players in the game accumulate in a month or two.
It isn't Kabam that is greedy, it is you that is greedy. You expect to get everything for nothing. You play this game completely for free. Games don't fall from trees, they cost money to make and money to operate. And yet you can play the entire game completely for free. But that's not enough. You have to have all of the rewards immediately or else the game operator is "greedy." Greedy because they make one thing require spending or just a reasonable amount of activity. Something even F2P players could get if they wanted to, so it isn't even paywalled.
F2P players can get that thing immediately if they are active enough, and spenders can get it immediately if they want to spend for it, and everyone else will ultimately get it regardless eventually. And *this* is your example of how greedy the company is? This is the lightest form of monetization that exists in the world. Most people wish car manufacturers were as greedy as Kabam is.
It is true not everyone can spend, and not everyone can grind, even the ludicrously small amounts required to get thousands of units. However, for people unable to spend any money and any time, they can still actually play the game and actually get a ton of stuff completely for free. They get a lot of stuff from even the greediest events, just not everything, and they even get practically everything eventually. To me, if that's not enough for someone unwilling or unable to spend and unwilling or unable to grind for even a moment, their expectations are fantastically unrealistic.
Let's assume you started the year with 0 after banquet. We're 4 completed months in so you've gotten;
3600 from daily super event
400 from the monthly calenders
620 so far from the gold track
1020 from the weekly summoner advancement rewards (again, assuming your ally makes the final one)
That's a total of 5640 units out of your 6k that's you've gotten for doing essentially nothing.
I get not wanting to spend you life in arena but you haven't even tried.
Idk the direct quote but is something along the lines that time isn’t a in-game resource so they don’t put a value on it. Therefore they don’t account for it being rewarded or something to that extent. Happened a long time ago, some people like usual were complaining that there is to much things to do in game when that conversation started.
