  While it would be nice to have dialogue in valiant gauntlet, you can do the lowest tier of EQ for some units and you get all the story really quick without ever needing to worry about your team or the fights at all.

  I gotta disagree with you, BUT an “opt entirely out” (not just on completed maps) would be a well used feature. you’re 100% right on that. kinda a kick in the teeth to the story and world-building/ conceptual people, (I look forward to the monthly plots), but c'est la guerre. they still get WAY less flack than the tech and implementation folk at least.
  
  @Pikolu nailed it for most; stroll through on a lower difficulty to catch the story content, when you have time (also, the units matter0. then focus time and attention on the rewards you need/ relevant maps.

  You can always speed through the story in the lowest difficulty just for story and the auto the rest for units

  If you're letting your energy expire rather than auto-playing the lower event quests for the units, you're doing MCOC wrong. I fully explored Contender, Proven, Conqueror and Uncollected last month, in addition to Paragon and Valiant Gauntlets. And I still had tons of energy left over to do exploration on older quests like Act 7.

  Please don’t bring the dialogues into Valiant EQ. It’s just unnecessary clicking and getting in the way for those that don’t want to read it
  
  If people want it, then it doesn’t take long to blast through the easiest EQ difficulty
