7* Cyclops, is he among the top 5 mutant now?

Regardless of the Prof synergy, apart from that, am seeing insane damage from specials and just pure damage character, where does he rank now. I mean just seeing yellow numbers so satisfying.

His damage is very good, but he lacks in the utility that other top mutants have

It will be hard to unseat the likes of Sinister, Onslaught, Domino, Bishop, Dust, etc. at the top.

DPX, Storm and Dazzler all have a claim somewhere there too. No doubt he’s a fantastic nuke, but we will have to see how he stacks up after he’s been in game a bit.

Onslaught over Bishop is the call. But Bishop is a nuke and a solid dual threat in a lot of metas. His ability to retain his power bar from fight to fight is also great questing.

Cyclops is really not here long enough to gauge but I don't see any major defensive threat outside of nodes which guarantee unblockable specials and something like power sack or kinetic instigator (or whatever that power gain on hitting blocks node is).

r3 Gentle here, definitely agree people are sleeping on him because of the built in recoils but he pretty much kills anything in BGs after sp2 for that to even matter. I did a r4 Prowler yesterday with him cause I had no other options and he only had 8% health left after one rotation. I don't know that many 7* that can punch a whole rank above like that with class disadvantage and almost kill with just sp1 sp2. Also to add to all this, he's the most braindead Bullseye counter in the entire game and imo the best.

He’s a nuke, I fought him in BG without an unstoppable counter and he took forever to take down because of his crit res and the combo ability. I saw people saying he’s a horrible pull and stuff but he seems awesome. Like you said, one of the best bullseye counters and just general nukes. Super impressive prowler fight too and he can turn off the recoil so there isn’t even an issue there

Out of total curiosity, would you really recommend running precision on gentle even with the extra crit he gets during his sp2? Wouldn’t special damage be better? Just genuinely curious, not doubting your gentle knowledge

Exactly. I pulled Gentle early and he takes a little getting used to but people acting like he's not an incredibly solid champ just haven't played him enough. Personally i think the hardest thing about him is trying to line the unstoppable with his specials but even then it just takes a bit of practice to do and if you can't get it then you can use the 4th light to avoid the big damage back. Other than that he's a great 2 way champ

Yeah he just received a lot of hate from people because of the built in recoils and the fact that his crit rating is one of the worst in the game at base but 1. People don't realize that ability also means he can run suicides and take no damage whatsoever which is very strong and 2. His sp2 gains 4.5k crit rating which gives you 5k crit rating in total during the special if you run crit stat focus so that low crit rating at base means nothing.

Even without crit stat focus he will get at least two crits on sp2, he gains 4.5k crit rating just for activating sp2 until the end of it.

I would still recommend rurunning crit stat yes, special damage does mean he hits harder overall but with mutants you really want them to crit more often not to crit harder because they already hit really hard as is.

Have played with him, cyclops is just an attacker and is fun and spam specials and it’s game over for most cases. One of the kabam decisions to buff and his kit I would say.
