Is scream a solid r3 option?

I’m turning to be more BGs focused. I’m building my roster to make epoch a breeze - it’s like the only piece of content I haven’t done that still has relevant rewards. I don’t know when I’ll be able to get Medusa. I’ve already got two cosmic r3s - Knull and Odin. I have at least one r3 in every class except mutant and a meta counter in every class. I’m about to take sinister or bullseye to r3 unless I pull onslaught anytime soon. I want a good armor break champ since I don’t have venom. I haven’t studied up on her a ton since I didn’t think I would pull her. Is she an autoblock counter? Miss counter? Is she as good as Medusa utility wise unduped?

She has undermine which helps deal with auto block

On the sp1 right? Or just built into her kit?

Once she gains enough buffs from doing medium ending combos. She’s incredible and definitely worth taking to rank 3. Lots of armor breaks. Not a miss counter but a solid autoblock counter. Crazy damage.

I wouldn't call her solid autoblock counter cuz her undermine is little unreliable imo. But she is just amazing in other aspects. Destroys everything with one sp1 and sp2.

You can use her autoblock to parry stun champs like Zola, or just place a bunch of bleeds on Shuri without ever hitting her.

Yeah that ability is amazing also he autoblocks allows you to get easy openings and infuriate helps with making ai aggressive (her infuriate actually works!).

Definitely worth an R3. She is somewhat overshadowed by Medusa for some reason (maybe because they both have long hair?) but I feel like she has enough unique things in her kit that both are worth an R3. She’s not quite as easy as Medusa to get full effectiveness from but close. I’d recommend Simula’s video on how to use her - it is really great. Important to get down how to use her auto block to ramp her quickly.

    Just charge heavy right?

So she’s an arcade counter is what I’m hearing? I’m sold. I’m between her and Vox tho.

I think the medusa connection is kinda fair. They came out in the same month, both have similar animations attack wise, both autoblock, focus on armor break and bleed, both have autoblock counters etc. I think they do different things but it's probably the most appropriate comparison we've had in a while lmao

I've toggled between thinking Medusa or Scream is the better champion multiple times, and have simply settled on liking Medusa more for her consistency.

Medusa does her damage at a predictable pace, isn't reliant on opponent AI, and has permanent or long lasting utility. With Scream, damage and utility can fall off if the opponent or node isn't playing ball.

As long as "True' ability works, Medusa is stressfree, while focusing on maintaining Scream's undermine feels a bit stressful to me.

Counters every tech champion except sentinel.

I love Vox. Super fun to play and beautiful animations to his fighting. But I’d take Scream to R3 before Vox no doubt if I had her. And I already have R3 Medusa but would still R3 Scream.

Yes, absolutely. She was my first Cosmic R3. Wish she had a more powerful synergy with Venom though
  • Scream is incredible, I use her every day in AQ currently

She is definitely worth it, if you have a a lot of debuffs on the opponent her special 2 actually shreds.

Personally, this is my favorite rotation for Scream: start by immediately charging heavy--you will auto block the opponent. After you auto block, do a double medium combo and then charge your heavy again. Repeat the heavy double medium cycle three times, and then after the third auto block end on a light combo (so you have three madness) and then throw your sp1. You will get a lot of buffs and then just be as aggressive as you can and try to place as many armor breaks and bleeds on the opponent and then just throw your sp2 (ideally before your buffs wear off.

Usually this kills most opponents but if they have a sliver of health left you can repeat or just finish it however you want, but that start is definitely the most efficient rotation for her IMO.

Scream is the best champion I never wanted. I was not excited when she was released. Seemed like carnage to me and I just wasn’t into her. Then I pulled her and she knocked my socks off. I love her. She handles to many unexpected match ups. Just solid and fun to play.
