Question for experienced PC gamers

So my gaming experience is limited primarily to mobile and some console. The PC games I’ve played over the years lean more toward Bard’s Tale / Dwarf Fortress type stuff. Games where you mostly type stuff, not input complicated sequences of commands in rapid fashion.

For you experts out there, when you look at MCOC on pc, is there an obvious dominant strategy for the controller? Do you know from experience, “oh yeah, XYZ controller type is going to be the best” or is it more a situation where you think players will use many different options? Appreciate any insight.

Whatever controller feels the most comfortable to you is the best controller you can use.

I will probably try the Playstation Dual Shock 4 and just return it on Amazon if I don't like it.

I just used a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller in the beta and it worked fine. All you want is a good controller with no input lag.

Seconding what folsk are saying that its whatever feels bets for you. As a longtime PC gamer thats one of my favorite things about PC gaming, the flexibility. Find something that works for you and run with it!

Did you feel like your ability to fight was better, worse, or the same as on mobile?

My ability to fight is different. I have 10 years of muscle memory aiding me on mobile, you can't determine if you're better or worse or same off of only 12 hours. It's a learning curve and a different way to play.

I'll try using my xbox controller. I have played other fighting games before like dbfz and injustice 2, but my experience with them is limited to the story mode and very basic pvp. So nothing fancy, but I'm familiar with the inputs and controls at least. We'll see how it goes...

Where do I plug this in?

Might be a stupid question, how do you use Nintendo switch pro controller for this. Ive plugged it in, it's on my list of controllers on the pc controller page and tests there, but don't know how to get it to register inputs in mcoc.
