Disconnected from Battlegrounds and Lost Points. How come?

I was doing a match in Battlegrounds and everything was going fine. I had lost the first round but threw it to take away his defender. Second matchup started and everything was completely fine until I finish the match. It was a timeout and he had about 2% health left and then when it finished, it said to reconnect and when I did it took me to the Home Screen and so I re entered the Battlegrounds Screen and it dropped me 15 points but didn’t even say lost and it doesn’t show any stats about the next round.
My internet connection was perfectly fine the entire time. Does anyone know what happened? I’m a bit bummed I lost points for the match that I didn’t get to finish and want to know if there is anything I can do to avoid it happening again.

I understand what you’re saying and thank you for your input. I fail to see where I was complaining as I was simply asking if there was a solution but I understand how it’s just a random occurrence
(made it sound like there was no history at all about the match)
Yes, even though your device seems like you finished the round, the ending-fight correspondence between you and server glitched, and so it doesn’t know the results from your device about that fight.
It should have still showed you the 1st fight's stats, and then nothing for fight 2 (just Forfeit, which is what it does when there is an issue sync'ing your results of fight with the server).
If it drops connection early in fight, you may have time to recover and re-enter fight, and have a much shortened amount of time still on the clock. So in those cases it may not be forfeit.
I don’t recall it saying FORFEITED but your explanation makes sense. Assuming that your explanation is the reason, then it seems there is nothing that I can do to avoid which is unfortunate but at least it doesn’t seem to be a recurring and constant issue and more of a one off thing.
Thank you for the help
