Can we please just have a normal meta without power gain for defenders? It's getting really annoying.

    Auntmai is just full of years and years of useful ideas. Wanna have some crazy fun, lets just randomize em.

    Aspect of chaos + Lifecyle
    Assault battery + Brawl
    Aspect of Chaos?!
    What about all those weapon nodes they created in act 8? Open the flood gates.

    Then lets give all classes some fun power ups to go with.

    Relentless Mutation + Eat Crow + Mystic Consumption + Power Technician + Punishment Glutton + Cosmic Grit

    They def should consider reworking VT / weeks 1/2, after last season. Weeks 3/4 is at least different in a block mashing meta.

    Was paying attention, and opponent did NOT have Saga champs as their defender, but then in fight were still getting Power Gain ??

    Can non-Saga (and more specifically, the 1/2 of Saga that benefits as Defender) champs get Power Gain as well (from the BG meta) ?

    Of course. The saga node is the unblockable after specials.

    The power gain is coming from the Conflictor node, which will benefit any defender not just the Saga ones

    The saga part of the meta only relates to gaining unblockable and bonus damage after the special.

    Conflictor and whatever the periodic bleed node is called are what’s driving the power gain. And those apply to all defenders.

    How’s it interacting with Punk’s kit to make him so much tougher on defense? I’ve got an r2 Punk but never learned him.

    I assume they are trying to intercept him, you would need to have venom or an evade counter to intercept.

    Not really sure because I only know how to use him on attack and never face him as a defender.
    But he was a menace this last season too.
    I assume it's just a combination of unfamiliarity with his kit with certain nodes that amplify it.
    Like his SP2 can inflict ruptures through block, and as a defender he will always counter-stun you if you try to intercept him (whereas on offense there is a cooldown).
    Also if you throw the same special against him twice the encore will inflict a rupture on you.

    venom stocks have been going up and up lately, he was a huge mvp for me during last meta

    They better change it before the season starts.. im done with these powergain BS nodes give us something refreshing… Powergain + A.I is eating SP3’s… that mutant meta was very fun to play couple seasons ago.
