Why does conflictor remove more than 1 debuff?

Why does it remove multiple debuffs if applied at the same time when the node says “debuff” singular?

    It is in the wording. Next debuff applied so 16 debuffs from knull out the gate is the next debuff.

    Also it is Easier to code. So much simpler to have next instance (knull 16) than adding variables to be on the next instance subtract 1.

    Same thing as buffet out the gate takes all of oden prefight and angela buffs as Next buff is all of those applying at the start.
