What even is a good champ

I swear a lot of the champs people say are the "best" aren't really mind-blowing
Three examples I can think of off the top of my head are Kate Bishop, Onslaught, Prowler, Mr. Sinister, and Serpent.
Of course, this entire thing could just be because I lack endgame ball knowledge, but if we just look at story/side questing, I've really never used any of the champs listed - other champs simply do it better in the event of certain nodes. Kate Bishop takes way too long to get ramped and get her utility up, Onslaught requires constant parry stuns and heavy attacks to ramp up, Prowler is just ass, Mr. Sinister doesn't have any unique abilities, and Serpent is just not the best option in any sort of questing scenario. Scorpion only really works with the venom synergy, and also has a funky playstyle.

The only champ that I've seen consistently solving ANY problem is KUSHALA. Am I just clueless or am I onto something? Like everyone glazes Kate but I used her like one time in the entirety of Act 8. Same with onslaught - he just requires too many things to be able to achieve his max damage potential.

I think lack of ball knowledge is probably accurate. If you’re playing mostly mid-progression EQ and SQ, then yeah, it doesn’t really matter who you use. All the champs you listed as overrated have unique capabilities that are valuable everywhere, but particularly valuable in complex fights against tough opponents.

Serpent is THE option in a real endgame content. If I didn't have him for a Carina's and Epoch, I would have used WAY more revives. I didn't even look at other options available and this was also never having played Serpent before the Carina's challenge.

Sinister is just amazing. Minimal hits, but heavy damage, degen (which hardly anyone is immune to), plus other abilities that, while not his main focus, are very handy. He's always on my questing team, and I rarely even read nodes when he's on the team.

Jokes aside, this depends person to person as how they define good champ. For me its standalone champs who don't need synergy for optimal use with utility and damage. Some may define champs based upon damage.

So there is no correct definition of GOOD CHAMP

listen i get your point, but what champ someone finds useful/ "good" is based on a multitude of factors, from the type of content they prefer to do, the type of challenges they enjoy, their skill level and most of all if they even like the champ at all.
all the champs you listed are conventionally good champs because people seem to find them useful in wider range of matchups and complex fights, perhaps you do not do those fights or maybe you just dont like the way they handle those fights. So from your pov they might not appear that good.

I for the longest time slept on kate bishop because I simply used different champs for those matchups, it wasn't until i landed in situations where i needed all of her utility combined that i saw her value.
Its a big game, hundreds of champs , vast amount of options to handle the same flight so its not uncommon that you somehow never found such use for them but that doesn't devalue them

Its all preference. Whoever you find useful will be the "best champ for you". I have both serpent and cgr as 6* but I prefer cgr over serpent because I been used to his rotation for the last 4 years.

He can remove any damaging debuff in the game, and transfer it as degeneration onto the opponent. How's that for unique?

Not to mention, he's Immune to reverse controls and regen rate modification, can block Unblockable Specials, regenerates most critical damage, has 100% bleed resistance, and shuts down Skill Purify abilities.

I just cleared story up to 9.2 using 95% just 6* sinister and no relics. He’s borderline immune to nodes.

To answer your only question, yes, you are clueless.
To respond to your specific statements on these three...five...six examples...

Kate Bishop needs to throw two SP1s...if that takes you too long, you're doing something wrong.

Onslaught does needs to throw heavies, but there's no requirement to parry. He just requires skill to get the most out of him, and even then it isn't a lot of skill. He deals damage that champs aren't immune to and is one of the most annoying defenders in the game.

You're just bad with Prowler. His damage can get pretty nutty when you play him correctly, and his power control is pretty significant. But I guess you probably want your opponent throwing more specials.

Worst take on Mr Sinister anyone has ever had. Learn how to play a champ before making a statement on them. Not even going to help you with this one.

Serpent is a beast and is better than that Hercules you're almost definitely bringing to every quest. Not only is he one of the toughest defenders in the game (not everything is about offensive ability you know), but he's also one of the best evade and miss counters in the game. Literally throw one special (which he can do through the block for even more damage) and, unless you get hit by an opponents special (which I will assume you will), you never have to worry about miss or evade for the rest of the fight. Bad for questing? He was one of my most used champs in 9.2. He was able to answer a lot of what the node sets were asking. "Best option" or not, he's a great option in questing.

I'm not skilled with Scorpion myself, but there's a reason he's not a 7* yet. His unique and flexible immunities coupled with the fact that he will just eat through champs as they throw their specials puts him near the top of the science class. Even as a 6* he still has a place in the game.

The game isn't built to bring the same 5 champs to every piece of content. If you're going to base Kate's value off of the fact that you brought her once to Act 8, then you're understanding things wrong. Late story content is all about roster diversity. You shouldn't be bringing the same champs over and over again, and you also shouldn't be basing their value on how much you use them and specifically on your own ability to play them. It's okay to not be skilled with a champ, but that could instead mean that you're bad and not the champ.

This was painful to read. I’m not gonna try and educate you on how wrong you are, @Furrymoosen handled that perfectly. Not every champ is parry 5 hit combo throw special, win game. Many of those champs require a small adjustment to your play style, and you will do great with them. But please, do some more research before spouting nonsense, you might actually get a newer player to think these champs are bad when they are some of the best in the game

Ok I was tweaking like half of that post but Prowler is seriously questionable a top champ, and I'm being for real. Especially when he isn't awakened. This guy hits like a noodle, and aside from the power lock and few immunities he can't do anything special. Like I can see how he's decent in certain scenarios, but for the most pat he's just super underwhelming. I may possibly have been wrong about Kate Bishop, Serpent, and Mr. Sinister, but Prowler is genuinely a poser.

Kate's just too complicated for me as a casual player, so I've never gotten the most out of her. Coldsnap ticking for 4000 damage after 2 SP1s seems weak to me, and that requires constant refresh. I did, however, not know that she countered evade.

What benefit does no crit provide? Yes, I have been heavying at 0 power because I watched Spectral 282's tutorial on YouTube, but the power lock is for like 4 seconds fam. What sort of content do you typically use Prowler in, and how do you maximize Prowler's unawakened damage?
