What's the history behind your username on Forums/game and your Champ avatar here?

This idea just popped into my head for this post. No idea why. Lets hear your history of your choices.

My game tag comes from when I started playing MechWarrior 3/4 in the late 90's and early 2000's. I used to use DemonzFire but decided to fancy it up and go with the "Fyre" because it seemed cool. I used Demon Fries for a bit as an inside joke because of someone I played PUBG with didn't read my tag correctly. And I showed up in a ChocoTaco video.....dying to the blue zone.

My PFP here on the forums has been Silver Centurion for a long time. In-game, he's one of my favorite champs to play. I enjoy the connection to MROC (which I wish still existed) and that it's based off an actual suit from Iron Man. In the game I swap between different PFPs. I have a S.C one and I really like the MROC pictures. Currently rocking a Red Hulk one from the recent SQ.

Le Noir Faineant comes from the book Ivanhoe. When Richard Cœur de Lion (the Lionhearted) returns to England he disguises himself as an anonymous knight in black armor. He enters the tournament at Ashby de la Zouch and mostly holds back so as not to give himself away through his prowess. The crowd starts heckling him, calling him Le Noir Faineant (The Black Sluggard). Profile is generally the Summoned Symbiote because of how fun that event was. Title is always Button Pusher from pressing Rocket Raccoon's Death Button instead of protecting it. Lesser rewards but better title lol.

My forum name is from a character in the Slam Dunk manga series, Hanamichi Sakuragi. The names in MCOC for Sakuragi, Hanamichi, etc. were all taken so I added Mr to make myself distinguished.

My pfp of Kingpin has long been one of my favorite Marvel characters. He also looks like a Mr.

also my name came from the debut of Fortnite on Nintendo switch, I RAGE so much just to login and play a game, no matter what I did I couldn't login, so I spammed random buttons and came up with the name 1viper3457698(yes I memorized it). so viper became a recurring username in other games. First, my pfp was onslaught cause my hunt for onslaught was short, the 2nd featured I spun during the poolies even b4 the collectors was onslaught and too him to r3 6*. still on my top line to this day. Prowler cause my most listened to track on Spotify is the across the spider verse track(metro cooked with this shi) and he is the only champ in game with a infinity/10 drip level

He is a Native American superhero. After a year of development, the producer who was behind the script left Marvel and joined Wesley Snipes Production Company. Soon after she left, the project died at Marvel. Never know what could have been.

Pretty well-known by now, but my old IGN was changed because my Forum handle was the same as my Twitter handle, and some....let's say unsavory people....tracked me down and blasted my info on all kinds of sources. Very invasive. So I changed them both.
The current Forum name was made up on the spot, kind of like a play on common sense.

I took my name from my nickname for XBOX 360. Mystic because I always have liked the mysticism and spirituality. Spectrum comes from my interest in after life and ghosts. I chose Magik as my avatar because I love the character. She’s a mystic. I love her outfit, animation and third special attack. When I started playing the game I hadn’t known anything about her. I used to read marvel comic books of X-men. Now I know that she’s the sister of Colossus.

Greed was the name of my “clan” back in the Xbox 360 days playing cod I used to be a trickshotter with snipers lol, so it kinda stuck throughout the years and Exodus is my favorite marvel character (who’s still not in mcoc sadly), pretty much it.

I'd give it to them for free if they wanted it. I'd take points on the backend and royalties. It never was about the money. As it stands in 2025 it could easily fit into the MCU multiverse as its own timeline. If they want it, they can have it.

Reminds me of a line from the original Excalibur many years back, where Sandman is making fun of English words like 'bloke', and Captain Britain (Brian Braddock) punches him into a cloud of sand with the response "It's Captain Bloke, to you!"

Well. Because of what my last name is, people in high school started calling me Butters, after the southpark character of course. Plus I act like him, carefree don't give a **** attitude plus professor chaos etc. So Buttehrs is never taken as a tag in games. Winter soldier has been my avatar since day one on both here and Line. Again carefree do what I want kind of character.

My name is my initials and the year I started playing mcoc. My pfp is my chase champ, a small game I play, once I get the 7* or rarely 6* champ, I change it to my next most wanted champ. So now you know who I am chasing...before this it was herc.

I guess most people don't want their first name in a username, but for whatever reason I prefer it because other Champions players automatically refer to me by "Owen." The full name is a pun on "octopus." I guess Doctor Octopus would fit better with the name, but I arbitrarily chose a Rocket Raccoon profile pic and I'm not going to change that.

Man, I remember the hours I grinded to get him from feature arena, when he was 1st released in game. Then i got to play with prebuff him, it was kind of a gut punch.

Nope. Not even a reference to the Sundance Kid. I was using a bunch of aliases in the Quake 2 demo, and wanted to find one to stick to and around that time, my dad asked my mum "where's sundance?" Meaning me, when he usually called me sunshine. I liked it and adopted it. I have used variations in some games like Sgt. Sundance in COD and Mace Sundancer for Star Wars games
