@TotemCorruption Think for a moment and let me know how many r4's can we assume to face in gamma/arcane at the beginning of the season ? Now assume how many a light spender will have ?
The game has had too many sales pushed closely to each other where it has basically ensured that your roster becomes irrelevant if you're not paying for these events.

Ok, I wasn't disagreeing about the pay to win structure of BGs right now. I was just asking why you don't think it should happen in V2 at the beginning of the season. Every account, large or small, starts in Victory Track.

I spend next to nothing and havenβt spent in over a year and Iβm sitting at 115 points in GC right now. You can win fights against whale rosters. I only have 2 rank 4 champs
Your roster is only βirrelevantβ if you wanna push for the very top, otherwise youβre fine

Is it only whales that can have r4s then? Because last time I checked a ftp can have around 4 r4s right now. You're gonna be facing them a lot, probably best to get used to it and adapt
@TotemCorruption I do understand. All I'm asking is will it be too much to ask for a balanced matchmaking in VT ?
I do understand GC will have the survival of the fittest.
RN, VT feels like GC
All other big games that have a pvp ladder use a similar matchmaking system to the current battlegrounds one. Itβs fair for you to play anyone whoβs in your tier regardless of their roster because both of you did the work to get there. Yes, itβs very annoying at the beginning of the season before things even out, but the system itself isnβt unfair.
And this is coming from someone whoβs ftp and rejoined the game around a year ago. Iβve done almost all of the content in the game and have 3 r4s. I still run some 6*s and 7* r2s in my deck. I definitely donβt like facing decks like the one you posted above, but I do it because you have to to push.
The radiance and radiance objs will have made it a lot harder for smaller accounts as well. There will be a lot of accounts that might not have started their bgs push until later that now will be going hard from day 1 to get the radiance objs. There will big accounts that never bothered with bgs that now will because of it too. If you're a smaller account it's best to be realistic about where you are in the hierarchy. You'll make the gc eventually if you've a decent roster and decent skill but you might not be able to do it in week 1 and you need to be fine with that. Not everyone is supposed to be able to get those objs.
looks about right for the accounts i faced on my climb. i don't have a slouch account myself but man it feels inadequate based on my competition .. but i manage with a fine display of skill and drafting RNG lol
The effects of aggressive monetization are on full display this season.
β there are plenty of straight up monster decks. 6-10 r4s, all HoF champs, Dark P, etc.
β but you also see some really bizarre decks with 5-10 r3s and then a big dropoff to a bunch of 6r4s and stuff. It makes you realize how quickly and easily someone can buy the top layer of a great account, not just the champs but all the rankups mats needed to get them to r3 and sigged up.

Other big PVP games don't have strict roster advantages like this game does though. Most PVP games using this ladder are skill-based, with everyone being on the same innate level. This game is mostly roster based, so the comparison can't be made as easily.

Do you understand how BG works?
So more players (like you) do not suffer.
It's time to get your eyes holder checked, it sounds hollow.

I think more than me Kabam needs a check.

Starting is V2 is a bug.
Mr whale is right where a top player should be.
It's the OP is who is in the wrong place due to the bug.
