Elders marks are pointless now...right?

What is the point of elders marks and including them as part of compensation given for the BG seeding error, now that Kabam removed the solo event? They just helped climb the solo milestones faster, and the alliance event rewards are super meh. Now that radiance exists, Elders marks seem kind of pointless...right?

    I appreciate not having to use energy to play when I decide to. It’s nice to have a stash of marks for the seasons that have extra rewards and require more grinding.

    It's a love/hate relationship. They are useful to hit milestones quickly, but it's so hard to spend them quicker than they are given out. I always end up going over the limit and wasting them.

    Stuck in the middle of some kind of shift. Look at the levels up to 70, increasing marks, tokens and glory caps. What would be the point really if those currencies are on their way out.

    I already feel like I miss solo event as some kind of gauge. Ally one doesn't seem to give the same excitement, at least until we start playing for radiance for ally ranks.

    Only reason I saved up those marks was for the solo event. Just realized they're gone, is that permanent? Haven't played in a while. Those solo rewards were actually good.

    They removed the solo event to help discourage the farming and distributed those ranked rewards throughout vibramium ranks

    totally agree they brought the radiance store and immediately removed the solo event so you can now buy your 7.5K 7* shards and 2.5K titan shards with your radiance and your elder marks are worthless because the ally event doesn't give anything special. this is how kabam works they tease you with a new store and cancel the other. imagine if you farmed too many shards Must be a crime or something i guess

    I use to farm for top 100 in alliance event for the t4a and solo rewards but it's just not worth it anymore

    I have to sell the energy I have expiring. For me, and probably alot of people. It is pointless.

    In the original post announcing the state of battlegrounds and radiance, Crashed himself said this new reward system would cause elder marks to be devalued, and their role in the economy would have to be reevaluated. Whether that is a complete phase-out or new purpose we don't know. It is up to you if you want to hold or use it to replace energy, where a lot is needed if you want to push a lot in BGs

    My point exactly. Kabam crashed admitted as much, they still think it's OK to give as part if the compensation for their mess up. Awesome. Thanks for making BG even worse than it was for everyone but the whales. I'm valiant and BG feels like beating my head against a wall trying to get into the GC. Elders tokens are devalued and I have no meaningful access to Radiance.

    No they are not they are an extra source to fight with that will help out your alliance in getting most points possible and help you save energy for other content

    I've never sold energy or had energy expire in 7 years of playing. Nor have I ever purchased energy. I use every bit I get. So far, there have always been enough quests to do every month to use it all. Last month, I fully explored the four lowest monthly quests, which all have units. Everything else, I used to push Act 7 exploration. In the past, I've completed back issues with energy. And eventually I'll go back to explore Act 6. The fights in the earlier acts are more fun now that my champs are stronger than they were when I completed them.

    Can’t say I’ve ever had a surplus of energy unless I have had a busy month and had no chance to auto. Most I’ve had recently is 42 in the stash so auto exploration of eq at all difficulties for units and then jumping in to auto for the back issues for units. That took me down to zero.

    Energy for grinding, elders marks for bg. Easy and not pointless.

    @DoomBot01 exactly the solo event was still valuable for people who can't get far in GC. for most F2P players it's hard enough to get into GC and the radiance you get for just getting into GC is very low maybe 10K and that's clearly less than 7.5K 7* shards and 2.5K titan shards from the solo event they removed... like i said in a post before they remove a solo event and exchange it for another store but only the whales benefit from it
