  I find Kabam's lack of communication on this point frustrating (but unsurprising). With each new thread on the topic, I keep clinging onto hope (perhaps a fool's hope) that they'll finally clarify the situation.

  From the description on the stream, the new relics coming this August are very simplistic and not alike the ones we have.
  
  It stands to reason the crystals they spawn from will be cheaper and more abundant.
  
  However, with nothing said anywhere officially- I’m clinging to my unopened relics stash. You never know.

  Yep, if this is a completely different item with no compatibility with the current relics, it needs to have a different name from what we have. I do recall that, originally, relics was going to be an all-encompassing term for several different things. What we have now are actually a subset of relics called battlecasts. So hopefully these have a distinct name from that. We have to have a way of referring to these without people thinking we're talking about the "old" relics.
  
  If they are distinct, does that mean we can stick one of them on a champ that already has a "battlecast," so they'll have two enhancements at once?
  
  See the original announcement talking about multiple "kinds" of relics:
  
  Relics are a new collectible coming to The Contest in November! The first to be introduced are Battlecasts, a Relic that can be Bound to Champions of the same class to greatly enhance their ability. During combat, having a Relic will allow the summoning of a Striker to lend assistance...
  
  So, stop calling the current things relics generically. They're "battlecasts." If they stick to their original plan, these new things will be relics, but not battlecasts. They'll be a new subset of relics called something else, like "power-ups."

  But as you said, this was their original plan and, as others have noted, original plans can and often do change, which is why it would be a good courtesy if Kabam clarified the situation, even just in broad strokes.

  You need to do it in quotes so @ "Kabam (Osaurus) Rex" minus the space between the @ and the first "

  Or for each space, type in %20 (percent 20), computer language Hex Code for the Space character.
  (then don't need to use the quotes, which sometimes the Quotes way doesn’t work for me)
  
  You could see in Preview before posting that it should be yellow highlighted, just doesn’t give you the drop-down auto-complete for it.
